I only took Nabi to knock once on San's door before it got opened by him. The girl looked at her neighbor as she slapped her hand on her mouth trying to stop herself from laughing.

"What?" San asked, feeling annoyed at her childish behavior.

"Nothing! you just look um..." She snorted before adding "Lovely!"

San looked down at his clothes to check if he was wearing anything backward but when he realized everything was fine he looked up again, feeling confused before it hit him, he was wearing a pink face mask he forgot to take off.

"What's so funny?" He asked as he crossed his arms grumpily. the girl was still giggling until she remembered what she was there for and immediately stopped.

"Nothing is funny! you look beautiful!" She tried staying serious but cracked at her own comment, causing the man to roll his eyes and close the door to her face.

"NOO! IM SORRY! OPEN IT!" She said while knocking on the door nonstop.

"you're honestly so annoying you do know that, right?" San chided the girl as he opened the door once again.

"I have a great deal for you then! how about I stop annoying you for life and in return you do something so small for me it's practically microscopic!" She suggested, while smiling widely causing San to raise his eyebrow.

"Of course, you're here for something," he answered while he stepped back to let the girl in, closing the door behind her as she walked into the living room.

"So what do you want?" He asked and sat next to her on the couch.

"Before you say no, I must say that you're such a great neighbor and honestly not only that, I see you as one of my closest friends! my soulmate for real!" Nabi said as she grabbed the boy's hand, looking at him with the most serious expression she could pull.

"you're so full of shit even the local sewer system is jealous of you." He answered with the same serious expression making the girl roll her eyes at him as she dropped his hand.

"Okay, I'll be straightforward then, ahem" she fake-coughed before continuing, "So like will you uh.. be my fake boyfriend perhaps haha..."

"How come every conversation I have with you makes me want to stab myself?"

"Sannn! I'm Serious, please say yes."

"Last time I checked you had a fiancee? an angry one as well."

"oh him! So yeah the thing is, he's the reason you have to be my fake boyfriend just for a second! he'll see your muscles and immediately run away you'll see."

"Consider elaborating?"

"Okay, so we went to the same university, fell in love, and he asked me to marry him, I hesitated at first but in the end, he convinced me it was the right thing to do so I agreed, but I kind of didn't mean it?... ahem anyway, I was very young and not happy okay? He was possessive and constantly jealous, we fought a lot so one beautiful day I woke up packed my things, and left him."

"That is totally how you deal with your problems!"

"Stop judging I was very young. And now 2 years after our breakup, he appeared out of nowhere."

"why'd you agree to marry him in the first place?" He asked genuinely interested.

"I don't know. I was scared of being alone and he told me he couldn't go on our relationship if i denied because 'it was time for us to take another step' and I thought I really loved him but then I ended up realizing that I was not ready like at all so I chickened out," Nabi answered as a pout appeared on her face. "you must think I'm a terrible person right?"

"Not really."

"yep, I kno- wait what?"

"I don't think you're a bad person Nabi. if he'd really loved you he wouldn't force you anything you weren't ready for."

Nabi has heard those same words many times from her friends before, but she knew they would even support her if she committed a murder so hearing it from someone else made her feel the reassurance and relief she was looking for. let alone those words coming from San. Him being so serious and understanding meant a lot to her.

"Thank you for saying that."

"Why are your eyes watery?"

"I'm on my period don't think of me as a weakling," She said as she sniffled making San smile.

"I'll make you a warm tea and it'll fix your mood immediately, wait here." He said and without waiting for an answer he stood up and went to the kitchen. Nabi felt like an idiot for blushing for such a dumb thing but she couldn't help it. she definitely wasn't used to San being so nice so it aroused butterflies in her stomach.

'what a fucking simp you are Nabi' She thought as she facepalmed, feeling disappointed at her own thoughts.

"Here," San said as he brought two cups of tea and put them on the coffee table. "why is your forehead red?"

"Probably a mosquito bit me! anyway, so what's your answer?" She asked while looking at him with hope in her eyes. San stared at her for a while before he sighed.

"Fine. But I'm doing this only for this once." his answer only brought a smile to Nabi's face.

"thank you, thank you, thank you! I owe you one!"

"You definitely do."

What a cutie pie Choi San actually was!
