It was finally Saturday evening. Nabi was excited for two reasons: first because she wasn't working today or tomorrow, and second and more important, she and San were spending the evening having a romantic dinner. it has been a month since they started dating and despite all the dates they've had in profusion of places she enjoyed staying home with him the most. Food made by him with nothing but love and care, cozy atmosphere, her and him alone which you probably know where eventually leads to ( the bedroom ).
She felt so comfortable. turns out this is how it feels to be in a healthy relationship with someone. Felt perfect.
The gentle flicker of the candlelight, the soft music playing in the background, and the easy, comfortable silence between them.
"This is amazing, San," Nabi said after a few bites, her voice sincere.
San grinned, looking pleased with himself.
They fell into an easy conversation, talking about their day, about work, about little things that didn't really matter but somehow meant everything. San told her about the ridiculous prank Wooyoung had pulled on Yunho earlier that week, and Nabi nearly choked on her food from laughing so hard. It was moments like this that reminded her just how lucky she was to have found someone like San, someone who made her laugh, made her feel safe, made her feel like she belonged.
As they finished their meal, San stood up and started clearing the plates, but Nabi waved him off. "You cooked, so I'll clean up. Deal?"
San raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Deal. But don't think that means I'm going to let you off easy. I've still got dessert planned."
"Dessert?" Nabi's eyes lit up with excitement. "You've really outdone yourself tonight, haven't you?"
San shrugged modestly. "Just trying to make sure you never want to leave."
Nabi laughed, shaking her head as she carried the dishes to the sink. "Like that was ever a question."
While she washed up, San disappeared into the kitchen, and when he returned, he was holding a tray with two plates of something that looked suspiciously like homemade chocolate cookies. He set them down on the table with a flourish, earning an impressed whistle from Nabi.
"You really didn't hold back," she said, eyeing the dessert with approval.
"I told you," San said, sitting down across from her. "Only the best for you."
They dug into the dessert, and Nabi had to admit, it was delicious. The perfect way to end the meal. They exchanged stories and jokes between bites, and as the evening wore on, Nabi found herself feeling more and more content. It was a quiet kind of happiness, the kind that comes from being with someone who understands you in all the ways that matter.
"you know," San started suddenly, "The meal was great but somehow I'm still craving something,"
"Ice cream!" Nabi blurted excitedly, earning a full-bodied laugh from him.
"What? Are you craving something else?"
"Yeah," San replied smoothly, his voice dropping just enough to make her pause.
"What is it?"
"You."
The single word landed like a spark, and Nabi's cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, her smile betraying how flustered she felt. She tried to keep her composure, but her voice was breathier when she shot back, "Well, you really shouldn't ignore your cravings, then."
