"Mr. And Mrs. Cameron, how good to see you." I grimaced at the friendly tone Gray put on as he welcomed his guests at the door.

"Good to see you as well, Gray. This is Wheezie, my youngest, Sarah, the middle child, then Rafe, my eldest." My nose twitched at the gruff hello that came from the latter.

"Nice to meet you all. This is my girlfriend, Marie Bayford, and her daughter, Xena Tallen, is currently in the living room if the kids would like to go in there?" I heard the footsteps as the adults continued their pleasantries.

First name basest. Oh you work at the school. Yadayada-yada. Wait, Tutoring? I pulled my nose from my book to see the three Cameron siblings standing and staring making me roll my eyes. I stood forgoing the previous statement I overheard from my mother and made my way towards the three.

"I'm Xena Tallen." I stuck a hand out for a handshake.

"Sarah Cameron. It's nice to finally see the girl whose been dishing it back to my brother." I shook hands with the blonde. Everything Kiara had told me about her was stored in a box and ready to be used in a moments notice.

"Wheezie. I'm the youngest, you were the girl I saw outside of the window!" I grimace and put a finger to my mouth. The action made her eyes go wide. "Sorry." I could not help but laugh.

"All good, Wheezie. Thanks for keeping it a secret for so long." I winked before turning towards the unamused and glaring Rafe Cameron. "Wipe that look off your face, Cameron. It might become permanent."

"Oh like your RBF?" I scoffed, crossing my arms as I looked him up and down. His black suit clinging to him as his folded arms popped his biceps.

"You know I wish you all the best in college." I started stepping towards the kitchen, my comment throwing all of them off guard. "Because I don't know what I'd do if I have to see your dumb a-self," I gave a grimace towards Wheezie to apologize, "around Kildare once summer's over."

While Rafe spluttered to find some sort of comeback and the two girls were laughing, I was desperately seeking for some much needed water.

Because I'll be damned if I actually were to indulge the bookdragon within me and favor the enemy trope.

"You know, if that was your way of wanting to talk to me alone you didn't have to embarrass me in front of my siblings." The water shot out of my mouth and nose as I turned around. Rafe's arms propped on the bare countertop which was currently keeping me away from him.

I pulled a few paper towels and started cleaning my mess as I coughed. The water not happy with me.

"Rafe, the last thing I want is for that to have been an invitation to speak. The only reason I'm here is because I'm supporting Gray... and the food. Trust me," I leaned on the countertop as I lowered my voice, "when I heard you were coming, I was fully prepared to bolt my door and climb down from the balcony just to avoid conversing." I motioned around me in the air. "However, you did just walk into my home turf. And I'll be damned if-"

Someone cleared their throat making both of us glance in that direction. My eyes widened as I quickly straightened up and plaster a kind smile.

"Oh, hello, Mr. And Mrs. Cameron. I was just getting Rafe here a water. Could I offer either of you a drink?" I turned away from Rafe as I grabbed another glass and filled it up.

"Oh, no thank you dear. I appreciate you being such a kind host to my son." I gave Ward a soft smile before handing Rafe the glass. His amused smirk spoke volumes as he grabbed the glass as well as my hand with it. My eyes widening as he brought my knuckles to his lips.
