"When you said just outside of Figure Eight, I didn't think you mean literally on the side of the hill outside of Figure Eight!" I shouted as I cut the engine on my bike.

"Sometimes you can take me literally!" Kie shouted back as the base inside the house thumped.

"How are the police not getting a million noise complaints?" I questioned getting off the bike and preparing to lock it up.

"Probably paid them off. The back to school bash always happens here." Kie informed as she helped me put away the gear.

"Alright, let's get this over with. We leave at 2200 okay? I don't need to be driving around drunkards." I reminded her of our agreement.

"Yes, I remember. Come on." The other thing about the agreement was Kie would stay with me or in my vicinity. However, as soon as we entered the crowded space, I knew keeping the energetic party-loving teen near me was wishful thinking.

"Go have fun." I shouted over the music. Her face held a large grin as she dove over to the kitchen no doubt getting drinks. I had a slight moment of panic before I found the pathway to the backyard.

There was a large pool lit up in various colors and several people around the yard tossing a football, drinking, or dancing to the music that roared throughout the entire house.

I wandered around the backyard for a little bit and found a small gate that led to a flower garden. With it being further from the house, I jumped at the chance to keep my sanity and entered the gate.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the music and dancing. But the amount of people in there is enough to send me into overdrive. If only there was a dog.

I wandered around the flower beds before finding a small, stone bench facing a wall of flowers. Peacefully, I sat down and closed my eyes, taking a moment to enjoy the soft night air and the faint sound of people laughing and having a good time over the base of the music.

It was peaceful in this moment. Even with all the commotion only a few yards away. And it remained peaceful until I was interrupted.

"We can go in here." A girlish giggle followed.

"So secluded, and romantic. Look at all these flowers." I opened my eyes and turned in the direction of the noise.

The sound of lips colliding entered the sound waves coming in my direction. A frown falling on my face as I realized that these two making out had just ruined this garden for me.

Why couldn't they have a dog?

With a sigh, I stood and walked the long way around, not even sparing the couple a glance as I left the flowerbeds behind and joined the party.

"Xena! Oh my gosh, you have to come dance with me." A slightly tipsy Kie shouted as she caught up to me in the kitchen.

"Okay, Kie, let me just take this and we can go dance." I spoke as I grabbed the red cup of alcohol and tossed it into the trash can.

"What? Hey." She whined as I turned her around and pushed her into the open floor the other partygoers were dancing on.

"I'll get you a new one later on." Her smile returned as we found a small area of the floor to dance on.

We danced with one another for a little bit. Spinning and jumping before a new song came on, one which Kie apparently loved.

"This is one of my favorites!" Kie shouted jumping up and down as she grabbed my hands. I laughed moving with her as she squished closer to the center of the dance floor- preventing me from leaving even though I wasn't planning on it.

I let the music wash over me as myself and several drunk teens moved to the beat of the song. Kie seemed surprised that I would dance but excitedly joined in with me.

At one point in the middle of a spin, Kie stepped wrong and bumped me into someone else. When I turned to apologize I was cut off by Kie's look of annoyance.

I rose an eyebrow but turned around anyways to see a blonde glaring daggers at Kie even if it wasn't Kie who bumped into her.

"Whoa, hey, I'm sorry for bumping into you." I spoke trying to diffuse the tent soon between the two.

"She probably pushed you into me, didn't you?" The blonde accused.

"Not everything is about you, Sarah." Kie bit back. This was the same girl from the beach- the one with all the Kooks.

"Oh shit." I quickly stepped up to Kie and started to move her backwards. This was the girl the guys were telling me Kie had beef with, Sarah Cameron. Aka- The Kook Princess. Also Rafe Cameron's sister.

"Let me at her, Xena. She's begging for it." I laughed at the drunk Kie.

"You're so violent." I scolded playfully, moving through the dancing crowd.

"She deserves it." I guided her to the kitchen in silence as I took in what that could possibly mean. I wasn't going to ask her now, she isn't in full consciousness with her level of alcohol intake - so asking now wouldn't be her actually wanting to tell me. "Gah, I hate her."

"Oh would you look at that." I broke her angry streak as we entered the kitchen and I saw the stove clock. "It's time to go."

"What, no. I don't wanna." Kie whined as she tried to break away from me.

"Nope. You promised. Plus, you're coming over to my house and sleeping over. I'll make pancakes in the morning." I bribed as I led her out the front door.

"Ohhh, pancakes sound nice."

I smirked at her willingness to corporate as we entered the night. Wonderful.

Then I remembered,

How the hell was I going to get her back on my motorcycle.
