"So, how are you feeling today?" Jungwon asked, sitting next to Mei in their first class.

"Good, you?'' Mei responded shortly, flipping the page of her book.

"Tired. I didn't sleep much last night. Gaming with Niki is the worst decision of my life. We do it every night, though."

"You're supposed to sleep at night," Mei said.

"Oh, and I also got you some food, more than just the granola bar," Jungwon smiled, picking something up, catching Mei's attention.

"It's not much, mainly just snacks. But I figured I could slowly get you to eat more. I'm worried." Jungwon mumbled the last line, but it didn't go unheard.

"Thank you, Jungwon. Really," Mei said softly.

"So you keep the lunchbox until the end of the day, and I'll get it from you then. I normally see you on my way home," Jungwon smiled.

"Alright." Mei felt unsure of how to react.

Maybe he was being sincere.

Maybe he was serious about being worried.

Would he stop when she got better?

Would he pretend they never met?

"So I was thinking, are you busy tonight?" Jungwon asked.

"No? Why?" Mei's mind began to race.

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me, Niki, Sunoo, and some of our older friends," Jungwon asked.

"Are you sure?"

''Of course. I mean, it's not a date, unless,-" Jungwon joked, being hit in the shoulder.
