"I thought you weren't coming back yet, Mei? Why'd you come early?"

"I didn't even know until this morning, Ni-ki."

"How?"

"Because I didn't? Isla and Jungwon's parents did this."

"Lies!"

"No, I'm serious, Ni-ki."

"Wait? Bro, what."

"It's nice to see you again, though, Mei." Heeseung and Jake nodded to Jay's statement.

"Yeah, it's nice to have some familiarity."

"You've not even been gone a month yet?" Ni-ki added.

"Oh well, so what's today's plan?" Sunghoon asked as Jungwon walked back into the living room after getting changed.

"No clue."

"We could go find someplace to eat."

"I'm game."

"Fuck yeah, I'm hungry," Ni-ki shouted.

"Alright, but where?"

"Have you guys gone to the place near the hospital? The one run by Mrs. Choi?" Mei asked.

"No, I don't think I've heard of it."

"Is it good?"

"I think so, personally. I used to be friends with her son, kind of, when we were younger. I don't remember if he's back yet, though. I think he just graduated; he went to a two-year college."

"Oh? What's his name?" Sunoo asked teasingly.

"Why'd you say it like that, you creep?" Jay said, motioning towards the couple.

"I don't know. Childhood friends to lovers arc?"

"No," Mei said; she was uncomfortable, and it showed. Jungwon looked confused.

"Why the fuck would you say that?" Heeseung asked with wide eyes.

"I'm kidding, I swear. Dude, they're THAT couple. If some dude she hasn't seen in years takes that away, they weren't good in the first place. And I can assure you that he's not worried."

"I'm not." Jungwon shrugged his shoulders.

"See. He's a confident boyfriend."

"Or he knows that if she leaves, he shouldn't stop her."

"Or both."

"Or third option: he's internally panicking."

"Third one," Jungwon mumbled, Mei being the only one to hear him.

Mei intertwined her and Jungwon's hands as they finally got back on topic.

"So, are we going?"

"Yeah, let's do it."

"Don't worry, Won," Mei smiled as they stood up, following the rest out of the house.

"It's not you that I'm worried about. It's they way they keep talking about you," Jungwon said in a sad tone.

"At this point, O couldn't care less about what they have to say. Have you heard half of it? They make kindergartens sound like astrophysicists sometimes."

"I feel like that was exaggerated."

''It was, but my point still."

"You don't like the guy, do you?"

"We were convinced we were siblings for almost ten years, Won. Our parents thought we were kidding until we were thirteen and still saying it." Jungwon laughed as Mei brought up the memory.

"Besides, he's no Yang Jungwon."
