"You have too much at stake, Jungwon. I can't let you do that."

"Get emancipated. I don't want you to leave," Jungwon said, looking away.

"I sound so selfish," He said, barely above a whisper.

If it would make you feel better, I'll visit. I'll call, text, et cetera. But I have to go. I do," Mei said.

"Promise?"

"I promise."

"I should probably take you back now, huh," Jungwon said softly after a few minutes of silence.

"Probably, but I don't want to. I miss this feeling," Mei said, distracted.

"What feeling?"

"I don't know. But I don't feel it around anyone else—just you," Mei responded.

"Then I'll do my best to be around as much as possible," Jungwon smiled as Mei hugged him again. He saw her smile as he hugged her back, even noticing how she stifled a laugh.

"What's so funny?" He asked.

"You keep acting like this; I'm gonna fall for you," she mumbled.

"I'd never stop you," Jungwon said, biting back a smile.

"Keep talking like that, and I'll start thinking you already have," Mei said.

"You're so oblivious, Mei."

"I'm known for it."

"You wanted to know what I meant earlier, right?" Jungwon asked.

"Yeah?"

"I'm pretty sure I've already fallen for you, Mei."
