Daya walked to the trunk, patting the behind softly. It clicked open and she stepped away to let it rise before grabbing her box with two hands.
Jisung smiled at the man as she got her box out, "The fee?", he pulled his wallet from his back pocket.
"30,000 won", the man said after glancing at the reader. He was expecting the boy to shout, gasp or ask the price to be cut as most people from here did but Jisung pulled out 10,000 notes, giving the three to the man. The man was extremely grateful that his price wasn't cut short. He mostly did that from pity. "Thank you"
Jisung chuckled with a nod. "I paid", he said to the girl going through her bag and grabbing the notes and change in it. "Drive safely", he said to the man who bowed his head with a smile and steering away from them.
"Why did you pay?. I hate being in debt"
"Don't worry. You will pay me later". Daya didn't like the sound of that and the boy smirked at her expression. "Not in kind", he stared up at the one storey building covered with white paint.
Daya said nothing about the sex reference. Just pulling her bag up the porch steps with Jisung behind her and pressing the door bell. She wracked her head for what to tell her people about the boy she was with. A woman with short brown locks tied behind her and dressed in a dark green sweatshirt and matching pants, pulled the door open. "Oh Daya", she said with a beautiful smile, hugging her child and cradling her head softly.
Daya laughed, "Eomma", she whispered, hugging her tighter. Her mother giggled, running her fingers through her hair and then her eyes shifted to the boy standing on their porch. Jisung's body did a 90° bow immediately her eyes landed on him. "Hello", he greeted, straightening back up.
Daya froze in her mother's arms. She hurriedly leaned back, away from the woman and bumping into Jisung's front. "Fu.. fuana", he smiled, pushing back his hiss of pain.
Daya's mom stared at them, waiting for some explanation of some sort. "Mom", Daya smiled, "He is a senior from school. He will be staying with us for just a day. Only today", Jisung spared her a subtle glance. He didn't say that.
"Come in", the woman said, stepping back on the foyer. Jisung smiled, walking in first. He looked around the living room since it was the first part of the house to be seen. He however stopped his scans when an old woman walked in from the kitchen. Maybe today was oldies day because Jisung was just meeting them anyhow. "Oh Hello", he greeted with a bow as Daya's mom rolled her daughter's box in, shutting the door after the girl walked in.
"Hello", the old woman greeted Jisung, wondering who he was.
Daya pulled her shoes off, running to her grandmother with her white socks. "Haemoni", she chuckled, embracing the woman. Her grandmother's chuckle looked so much like hers but an older one. She held her granddaughter with her slightly wrinkled hands, laughing softly.
Jisung looked away from them when Daya's mom was staring at him. She looked like he was trying to remember him which Jisung found absurd since this was the first time he was seeing the woman.
"Damin", Her grandmother said to her daughter, "Take her box upstairs"
Jeong Damin. Jeong Daya.
Jisung noticed that D was a thing in their family. "Young man", Damin called and Jisung felt his spine straightening. "Yes"
Damin pushed the box towards him and he wedged it with his foot. "Carry it up the stairs"
