They've all got some real explanation to do.
Damin slapped Daya's hand away from Dayeon's mouth. "Let her go", she ordered, before turning to the eight boys. She could recognise those rude Seoul kids. They were really rude, huh. Because why were they just staring at her like she wasn't a parent. "You must not have been taught how to greet elders"
Daya swore she almost fainted at the spot. The boys immediately bowed their bodies in simultaneity. "Hello, ma'am", they greeted in unison again.
Damin judged them silently. Was this really the school she was bringing her daughter to?. "Reminding grown adults like you to greet", she shook her head.
Chan, Hyunjin, Jisung and Felix felt a whole lot of dejavu at that. The other boys immediately apologised for their behaviour.
Nari could tell from the look of things that Daya's mom and Dayeon knew nothing about these boys relationship with her daughter. She glanced at Daya, she looked so pale, staring through the boys that were equally staring back at her. Nari slowly put her hand in hers, giving it a light squeeze and not letting go.
"You must be a group of friends", Damin said, walking closer to where they stood. Dayeon immediately followed her in curiosity.
Chan cleared his throat, moving back a little even though they weren't that near. "Yeah, ma'am. We are"
"You are the hyung who refuse to share", Dayeon said, pointing at him as Damin looked him up and down. "Chan", the mother said.
Seungmin and Jeongin glanced at the older boy just as he laughed awkwardly. "I'm not sure about that"
Damin cocked a brow. "Really?. That's right", she looked at Jisung. The other boys might not recognise them which was absurd but the guy should. "How about you"
"P-pardon?", Jisung stuttered, looking at his friends with panicked eyes. The panic increased when they fell on his roommates. "What about me what?", he asked with a smile, tilting his head.
Dayeon didn't care much at why they were acting that way but Jisung's reply made her double check the situation. She glanced behind her, and not only her sister but also Nari, was so frozen in place. She quickly understood that these were some people they weren't allowed to meet.
Why?. She had no idea but she quickly held her mom's hand, bowing to the boys. "Ah, we must have mistaken you for someone else"
Damin looked at her like she was insane while Jisung felt his eyes welling up with tears of gratitude. Dayeon could really read minds. This just cemented that suspicion of his.
Dayeon pulled her mom back. "We are so sorry for the inconvenience", and she was backing up with her confused mom. "Accept our apology. Doppelgangers exist these days. I'm really sorry", she bowed again, her hair swung forward and backward with her.
Daya felt her heart calm its rapid abnormal beatings as Dayeon looked at her. "Unnie, let's go", she stared into her fear-filled eyes, knowing she made the right decision.
Daya has so many buried secrets in this school. I am coming here for that.
Dayeon smiled, "Let's go", and the eldest got a grip of herself, looking away from her sister and tugging at Nari's hand.
Dayeon pulled her still confused mom with her and without any explanation to the older woman, she was walking away. Damin was really, really sure that those boys were the ones at her place. Jisung was literally the Jisung that spent the night in her house, ate her nakji bokkeum.
Am I really aging so quickly in sight and memory??.
