Dressed in a pink long-sleeved top and dark blue baggy pants with yellow stripes on the side, Daya stood behind the kitchen's counter, a pot of boiling water on the stove. She picked a pack of ramyeon from the other packs beside her on the counter and tore it open, gently placing it into the pot without breaking it, since her sister loved it that way. She did same with two more packs and watched it boil. Shaking up the spice pack a little, she tore it open with her teeth and poured them all over the boiling noodles.
"Good morning"
Daya looked up from the boiling pot, "Morning. Sit for some. I am almost done"
Dayeon walked over to her, tying her hair up with a scrunchie. "It will be so boring at work without you", she sat on a stool, staring at her sister as she emptied a can of tuna into the pot.
"You've been working alone there, even without me", Daya broke two eggs into the pot, "You should be used to it"
Dayeon let out a small sigh. Her sister's resumption date was near already. It felt like yesterday when she came back home and the break was already ending next week's Wednesday and it was the end of the week already. Friday. "Do you really have to follow grandma to the market?", she didn't want to go to work alone, so soon.
Daya laughed, putting cheese in and watching it melt, giving the ramen a sticky surface. "Yes, I really have to. It's my stuff we are getting"
Another sigh left the younger girl. "Get me an extension switch from the market when buying the things you need for school"
Daya looked at her while taking two bowls. "What of the one in the room?", she turned off the heat.
"You are not taking it back?"
"Why will I do that?. I have one in school", she dropped a bowl of well served ramyeon in front of her sister and stuck chopsticks into them. "You can use it. I am leaving it here"
Dayeon smiled. "Oh thank you", she mixed her egg properly into the ramen, "Thank you for the food", she blew on it, stuffing it into her mouth and groaning quietly in pleasure.
Snickers came from her sister as she mixed her own bowl while standing, something she was sure her mother will scold her for if she came back inside from the shop. She just had to finish eating before Damin comes back. She slurped on the noodles with her eyes closed, as slowly as she could.
Dayeon scooped more broth from the pot and tumbled rice into her bowl. She didn't want to get an earful if any of the older ladies walked in. Daya, though, refused to have rice this morning and ate up her ramen like every other human being.
"I will be back soon!", Dayeon informed, running to the door.
"Mmh. Have fun", Daya picked up the bowls and turned to the sink.
Dayeon rolled her eyes, putting on her shoes. "What's so fun about serving for nine hours straight", she hissed, opening the door and leaving.
Daya chuckled as she watched her wave at their mom from the living room's window.
Nine hours. I totally understand.

Dayeon bowed in greetings as she walked past her colleagues already preparing for the day.
"Oh Dayeon!", Evelyn called, smiling hugely as she waved at the girl.
"Hi, Eve", Dayeon greeted with a small smile. The girl was dressed for work already in her uniform and from the looks of it, it looked like she just arrived, since she was in the hallway that led to the changing room.
