Chan pushed the door open and entered the shop. He was really surprised to see the place full with people this early morning. Most grannies looked up from their food to stare at them.
"Damin is getting youngsters now", A grandma said to her group of friends with a really strong countryside accent, her friends cackled, resuming their meal again.
Chan bowed as he passed them till he got to one of the tables beside the huge glass, where he could see his car and the house. Hyunjin and Felix pulled chairs out and sat down.
Felix looked around the full place, "It's a breakfast place alright"
"The sign out there said a mother's breakfast place", Hyunjin said, jerking his thumb outside, "Didn't you see it?"
"I did see gukbap not breakfast"
Hyunjin snorted, nodding. He didn't see gukbap but breakfast. He looked out the glass, "Jisung is one funny dude. He was really getting comfortable. Did you see the matchbox in his hands", he looked at Chan and the boy nodded, "You know he is a kind of person that adapts easily", Chan said, hitting the table softly, producing beats.
Felix tried not to bop to the soft beats, "Seungmin will still find out"
"He won't, unless someone tells him", Chan dragged his eyes to Hyunjin. He scowled, "Why will I be the one to tell him?"
Felix tilted his head, looking at the boy, "You really, really, don't know?", Hyunjin eyed him with attitude. Was that something he was supposed to know.
"You easily gave up the information that Jisung called to him", Chan helped since the boy looked really clueless, or maybe he decided to forget that part of his life.
Ah, that.
Hyunjin rolled his eyes, "He had to know that to let us leave the room, duh. Doesn't mean I will spill this to him"
"Hopefully", Chan mumbled.
Just put up with them for a few hours. Minutes.
A tray in her hands, Daya walked up to the boys table and they all looked at her. Looks she avoided, dropping a black bowl full with gukbap and a healthy amount of meat, infront of Chan. "Oh thanks", the boy said, dragging the plate forward. Daya said nothing, giving him a bowl of rice. She shifted the tray to Felix, and he took the black bowl of gukbap himself, proceeding to take the rice too.
Of course, he wouldn't want her serving him.
She looked at Hyunjin and he stared back at her, "Am I supposed to serve myself too?", Felix glanced at him, taking a spoon from the tray. He paused, looking up at Daya. "Uh, I meant nothing much by taking the food myself", he clarified, since the way Hyunjin talked made him think back on what he did.
"It's fine", Daya curtly said, dropping the last bowl infront of his royal highness to which the boy got his hands off his seat's back rail and placing his elbows on the table, staring down at the bowl of gukbap. "Spoon", he opened his palm, not looking up from the inviting broth.
"Here!", The spoon got harshly dropped on his palm and he looked up at the voice that definitely did not belong to Daya. He smiled at her mother and Damin smiled back. The smile not reaching her eyes. "Daya, return back to the counter. I will serve him instead"
Daya glanced at Hyunjin, "Yes, mom", she turned back around, smiling at some of the old grannies that were asking her what was wrong, assuring them that it was nothing.
Damin took the last rice bowl off the tray and placed it beside his bowl of gukbap. "Happy?. Shall I feed you too?", Chan subtly glanced at him. He will definitely get indigestion at this rate.
