Professor Eunkwang prolly thought it was some sort of PTA. He tabled everything he thought was bothering him about Seungmin's progress, to his mother. By the time he was done, the student was sure he had just missed all his morning lectures. Thanks to some Professor, his hyung and mom!, who decides to show up unexpectedly without a call just because she was around the school area.

Atleast he was free now from one of the above mentioned. His Professor. They had just stepped out of his office and even though Seungmin did not appreciate the fact that his mother was now kind of friends with Mr Eunkwang, he also didn't like that his mother had to listen to all those lectures about his grades.

He wanted his parents to be oblivious of his sudden drop in grades. He was planning to bring a better result home by making up for the Cs he got early this semester but now, his mom knew. They haven't even said a word to each other, just walking down corridors. So when Seungmin's mom spoke, that was the least of the things he was expecting to hear from her.

"Are you okay?"

Seungmin looked at the smaller woman and found her looking up at him with a small smile. Was he?. Was he not?. "I am trying to be"

His mother nodded and continued her slow walking by her son's side. "Why are your grades falling?. I know it's just two C negatives but if you get more of Cs or even lower than Cs, you won't make it past the third year"

Every student knew that and he wasn't an exception. "I wasn't planning on getting any more low grades"

Seungmin's mom looked at him. "You.. are you okay, Seungmin?", she asked again.

Now, he wasn't sure what kind of okay she was referring to. Okay about the words and things Mr Eunkwang said, or okay, if he has problems he is facing. But either way, "Eomma, I am really, really okay"

"What happened to your hand then?", she asked in a soft voice, taking the boy's hand from his side. She stared at the bandaged palm, tracing it softly with her nails. "If you are okay, what's this?", she glanced up.

Seungmin tittered. "Is this the kind of okay you mean?. I just had a cut. It's healing up"

Maybe Jisung's mom wasn't the only one overly worried for their kid but all the moms. The beautiful lady didn't believe that. It wasn't just a cut. The way it was bandaged up showed it was a big cut. "Don't let it scar and play safe in whatever you are doing that resulted to this"

His lips quirked. Oh he plays safe. He withdrew his hand from her hold, and held her delicate shoulders instead, pulling her closer into his side. "Don't tell Dad, deal?", he led her down the steps carefully.

The woman scoffed. "You should say please, son"

Seungmin chuckled. "Please, mom. Don't tell him. About the grades, the injury too. I will be better by the semester's end"

His mother looked at him. "Promise?"

His eyes softened up. "Promise, eomma"

A big smile appeared on her face and she did a happy nod, allowing herself to be tucked into her son's warmth as they walked through the huge school exists to get to the parking lot.

"Everyone is fine right?", Seungmin asked, squinting his eyes when they were out in the sun.

"Of course!. Everyone is absolutely fine. I will tell the boys mom I stopped by, they would really love_"

"No, please". Seungmin cut off. He doubt they will appreciate any of that gooey, uninvited love here. They were similar to him and since he doesn't appreciate his mother coming in here unannounced like he was in kindergarten, the boys also won't like it. "Tell them you came but don't tell them to come"
