The car stopped outside the gates to Shen Wei's house and the man seated in the back who appeared to be the boss spoke to his subordinate in the front, sitting beside the driver.
"Are you sure this is the house?"
"Yes we are, there have been two failed attempts here."
"Find the owner and ask him to join me for a chat, if he says no, kill him."
The boss's statement was quite clear and left no doubts that he wanted a quick end to the problem, that even if he did speak to Shen Wei, he would kill the professor anyway. The dark haired guy in the front, slipped out of the car and approached the house quietly but aware of the hidden technology, he was quite sure that he was being filmed on his approach, they would know he was coming. So when he knocked the door and no one answered, he was a bit puzzled. He waited until his patience ran out and started to look for another way in, but of course, he was seen as soon as the car drew up at the gates. The voyeurs in the Enigma room saw everything. Lin Jing argued with Kunlun and Ava stating that it was his job to go back, he was a policeman and as long as he stayed in the panic room, he would be fine. He was also a very talented technician who could understand Gelan's security systems and control them from his position in the panic room. Both Kunlun and Ava couldn't argue back and Kunlun allowed him to return to his body and wake up.
Lin Jing immediately switched on the emergency systems to override the house security being careful not to interrupt the protocol which was running in the medical room and there he was, the dark haired guy whom he decided to call Fred, trying to pick the old lock at the kitchen entrance for deliveries.
"Gelan, I know you're a bit busy just now but we have an intruder trying to break in, do I let him?"
"Yes, he's after me, he wants to steal me and we have decided to allow him to do just that, then we can trace the person in charge and catch all of them. Let him in and try to keep him alive while he takes my shell away. Thank you Lin Jing."
Now that he knew what the plan was, Lin Jing could help Fred to get in and out of the house without dying from curiosity. Fred managed to bypass the alarm pad at the side of the old lock and succeeded in opening the door, gaining entry to the kitchen. It looked as if no one was home but you never know, the owner of this house was smart, he could have hidden alarms or security devices, that's probably how the other two attempts failed, and he walked very carefully looking at everything as he moved forward.
If the house really was empty, he could just steal the android before the owner came back, then there would be no blood shed, well at least, he wouldn't need to do it, he hated killing anyone. The kitchen lead out to the patio at the back which gave access to another hallway, leading to the main sitting room, so he followed it into the centre of the house, being very cautious in his movements.
