Shen Wei stirred slightly and watched as Ava gave Yunlan the injection with the antidote, having already listened in to their conversation downstairs, and he knew that Ava would be watching Yunlan for a while which was great, because he didn't have the energy to move, he badly needed more rest and Gelan would have been very angry with him for over doing it, wondering where she was, just before he fell asleep again.
In the morning the room seemed very quiet and Shen Wei suddenly realised that he had been lifted onto a bed in the spare room during the night. Gelan would be the only one able to do that, so he smiled knowing that she was here somewhere and he rose quickly to visit Yunlan. When he entered his room, he saw that Ava was asleep on the same chair as he had used the night before, and Gelan was sitting with Yunlan.
"How is he this morning, is the antidote working?" he asked her with concern visible in his expression.
"Yes he seems fine, but he hasn't surfaced yet, so there's no reason to worry any more, bathebreakfast and then you can sit with him, now."
Wei smiled and returned to his room where a breakfast was waiting for him, and after a quick shower and change of clothes he went back to Yunlan's room. Ava had left and was probably told to do the same as him, breakfast and bathe, while Gelan was waiting on Wei to talk to him.
"Are you alright?" She asked and waited for his usual answer.
"Yes, I am now, thank you."
"I thought you were going to kill that man yesterday."
"I could have, but what was the point, I would be as bad as him then, and I won't do that, if I amto fight against criminals, I can't become one."
Gelan smiled at him and left to give Wei some time alone with Yunlan. He sat down at the side of the bed and held Yunlan's hand waiting for him to wake up, suddenly remembering that he didn't know where the whip was, the last time he saw it was in the warehouse, so he called on it with no response.
"Come here." Yunlan called. Shen Wei only saw the tail end of the whip narrowly missing his face as it dived for Yunlan's right arm and wrapped itself firmly in place, back with it's owner.
"How are you feeling?" he asked Yunlan, smiling at him while gazing into his bright wide awake eyes.
"Tired, like I've ran a marathon, but very glad to be here, I was aware of your voices occasionally, so I know about the drug in my system, I could have woken up to a blank mind, I don't ever want to forget anything about you."
He replied sadly, staring as a small tear escaped from the side of one eye to be caught by Shen Wei's kiss as he bent closer to Yunlan.
"You never will, I won't let you forget your life, even if I have to tell you every morning how important you are to me for the rest of your life."
