It took a while for everyone to calm down after all the excitement of seeing the Guards and Black Robe even although they all knew who it was, his entrance had been pretty impressive and still managed to intimidate Chu and Da Qing. Lin Jing was on a high at just being able to be a part of all the activity and seeing the Enigma room but he was glad to see Ava going home.
Shen Wei and Yunlan took their time about coming back to join the rest of them, Wei had some explaining to do,
"Yunlan, in the past Black Robe worked with the police to help catch criminals, but they weren't what you would call ordinary, they were people like Chu and Da Qing, only they used their gifts for profit. As far as I know, there aren't any like that any more, but......"
Yunlan could work out the rest for himself.
"The fact that you are here now,...."
"Yes, that makes me wonder what is on the horizon." Shen Wei answered.
"Let's not worry about that now, we have just survived a crisis, enjoy tonight before we have to think about work seriously." and Yunlan leaned over to kiss him before they joined everyone in the small dinning room who were enjoying the light meal that Gelan had prepared. Afterwards during coffee, Lin Jing informed everyone,
"While you were all occupied in the medical room, we had a visitor who took Gelan's shell away, we can track it to find out where she is, I also let them believe that she will self destruct if she comes to any harm, so they can't even examine her."
Yunlan was impressed by his quick thinking, and they all relaxed before heading for home except Yunlan, he was staying here with Wei tonight. When all the guests had left, Gelan approached Shen Wei to discuss her situation.
"My Lord, what will happen to me now that you have returned, am I to return to the Enigmaroom?"
"Gelan, firstly,... I am the same person that you have been looking after for years, no more titles. Secondly, as I understand it, its my decision whether you stay or not,... Well, I've decided,.. you make the decision, I will accept whatever you would like to do."
Shen Wei smiled at her hoping that she would stay because he would miss her terribly, and so would Yunlan. She was a brilliant house keeper, technician, all round mother hen who cared and understood him more than his own mother did when she was alive, and he left her to think about it while he went to his bedroom. She was slightly surprised at being given the choice, she had always believed that her usefulness would be over when Black Robe returned and now she had the chance to stay. Gelan desperately wanted to remain here to serve Black Robe and look after Yunlan as well, so her decision was easy and she retired to her room happy and contented.
Yunlan was waiting for Wei to come to bed and relax. Watching as he entered the room, looking for something in a drawer, closing a blind, putting something else away and generally pottering about, not coming near the bed.
