Shen Wei awoke with a horrendous headache pounding to the beat of his pulse and he wanted some paracetamol to calm it down a little but became aware that someone was stopping him from moving. Opening his eyes, the first thing he noticed was the whip wrapped around two wrists and then an unconscious Yunlan looking as if he had slept there all night.
"It's alright, you can move now," he whispered quietly to the whip which softly uncurled from both of them and slid back into place under Yunlan's sleeve. Shen Wei just stared at him, watching him breathe with his head resting on the bed beside him, thinking to himself that Yunlan is going to have sore muscles after lying in that position and he ran his hand over his hair smiling with affection.
Yunlan half opened his eyes and yawned aware of whose hand he could feel, content not to move just enjoy the touch of someone who cared for him, then suddenly he remembered and he was totally alert.
"Are you alright? How's your head? Would you like any painkillers?"
"Yes a couple of tablets for my head please, but I'm fine, just a headache, did you sleep there allnight?"
Yunlan tried to rise but his muscles complained, stopping him from moving too quickly and he called on Gelan who appeared with the medication for Shen Wei and a glass of water. She then helped Yunlan to stretch his stiff muscles from lying in the one position, and stayed with them until Shen Wei was out of bed and standing, to check him for signs of dizziness, but he seemed alright, apart from what he was wearing, and Gelan laughed.
"Nothing to do with me, Yunlan undressed you for bed last night and found your pyjamas."
Shen Wei was wearing the top from one set and the bottom from another in completely different colours and patterns and he just laughed but Yunlan couldn't see what the problem was.
"They felt the same, it was the same material." which made Shen Wei laugh even more.
Eventually they made it downstairs to breakfast where they had time to consider how the intruders managed to bypass Gelan's security, was it a flaw in the system or were they just lucky, Shen Wei didn't know, but both him and Gelan would perform a complete scan today to find out. Yunlan felt that he would be of no use to them, so he phoned for his driver to come and collect him after calling Chu to ask if he would like some company today and he had said yes, come along. It was the weekend, so there was no need to go to the office and he didn't want to spend the day alone. Also he knew that Chu had the journals and would be reading some of them. Yunlan hadn't had the chance to find out about the contents of any of them and hoped that maybe he would today.
Chu saw the car arrive and went out to meet Yunlan and guided him into his flat, and offered him some tea while he hung up his jacket.
"Shen Wei is fine this morning, him and Gelan are checking the security systems and will be busy all day. Could you read me some of the journals? Daqing is reading one, Shen Wei is not ready to open his yet and I would really like to hear one."
