In the heart of a resplendent palace, adorned with a cascade of flowers and twinkling lights, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. The air was thick with joy and anticipation, as the Rajput family prepared to celebrate a cherished occasion.
Today marked the first Rakshabandhan of their beloved little princess, Ruhanika Pratap Singh Rajput. At just 6 months old, Ruhi was about to join her older siblings, Sanyukta and Abhishek, in celebrating this special festival.
Sanyukta, aged 5, and Abhishek, aged 6, were positively radiant with excitement. The grand palace echoed with their delighted shrieks and laughter as they dashed from room to room, their exuberance contagious.
"Slow down, Baccho! You might hurt yourselves!" Manyata, the elder daughter-in-law of the Rajput family, called out with a hint of concern as she watched the children race around.
"Mumma!" Sanyukta's voice was a sweet melody of excitement and curiosity. "Will Ruhi also tie Rakhi on Bhai's wrist today?"
"Yes, Sanyu, both you and your sister will tie Rakhi on Abhi's wrist. Aren't you excited?" Avantika, the younger daughter-in-law, replied with a warm smile, her eyes twinkling with affection.
"Yes, Choti Maa! I'm so excited!" Sanyukta beamed, her eyes sparkling. "Today, Ruhi and I are going to have so much fun, and I'll share all my chocolates with my baby sister!"
She paused, looking around with a hint of concern. "But where is my baby sister, Choti Maa? I want to get her ready."
"She's with Dadu and Dadi," Bharat Singh Rajput, their father and the elder son of the Rajput family, responded gently.
Without a moment's hesitation, Sanyukta scampered towards her grandparents' room. Abhishek followed closely behind, his face a picture of eagerness. Inside the room, they found Ruhi, their precious little sister, nestled in their grandparents' arms.
"Ruhiiiii!" Sanyukta rushed over, her tiny arms wrapping around Ruhi in a tight hug. Ruhi's initial surprise quickly turned into discomfort, and she began to cry, her tiny face scrunching up with unhappiness.
"Oh no, baby sister is crying!" Abhishek's eyes widened with worry. "How can we make her stop?"
"I have an idea, Bhai!" Sanyukta's face lit up with determination. "I'll give her a kissy. That should make her feel better!"
