I watched Rooh, as she had her mehndi done and smiled at everyone around her. The boys' earlier antics had livened up the atmosphere, and everything seemed to be going smoothly.

Suddenly, a girl screamed Rooh's name from the doorway and ran towards her, engulfing her in a tight hug. I furrowed my brows at their interaction. It turned out she was Ruchi Sinha, Rooh's childhood best friend, but that didn't mean she had to stick so closely to my Rooh. Why wasn't she leaving my wife alone? And why wasn't Rooh looking at me?

I was busy glaring at the duo when Abhishek, Vinay, and Kumar came towards me, their teasing only adding to my irritation.

"Our groom is looking so upset, right, Abhishek?" Vinay started.

"Yeah, I can feel that. I'm sure Ruhanika isn't giving him enough attention," Kumar chimed in, high-fiving Vinay, making me even more upset.

"Our Abhinav looks like an attention-deprived child," Abhishek added, not backing down. I glared at the trio before walking away.

Just as I was about to step outside, my mother called us for dinner. I nodded and sat beside Ruhanika, hoping to get her attention. I succeeded as she grabbed my hand and placed it on her thigh. She was about to say something, but that Ruchi pulled her away again.

As happy as I was that my baby met her best friend, I also felt a strong urge to strangle Ruchi with my bare hands.

Feeling annoyed and ignored, I walked away and sat beside Abhishek and warned the trio, "I'm warning you, I'm already feeling annoyed, so don't say anything that might make my anger overpower me."

I focused on my meal, stealing glances at my jaan. I noticed how Ruchi's whispering words turned Rooh's expression from happiness to guilt and sadness. I wondered what might have happened. I was busy staring at her when she looked at me and motioned for me to meet her in her room after dinner. I replied with a simple nod.
