The towering black gates of the Rajput palace creaked open, their polished surface gleaming under the fading light of dusk. A sleek car, moving slowly, drove past the entrance, its low hum attracting the attention of the guards, who exchanged knowing glances and curious smiles. As the vehicle neared the grand central fountain, the rhythmic splash of water mingled with the soft crunch of gravel beneath the car's tires, signaling the arrival of its young passengers.

The moment the car came to a halt, the atmosphere seemed to shift. The air was thick with anticipation, and several palace attendants looked on from the periphery, murmuring amongst themselves. Inside the car, Abhinav glanced toward Ruhanika, who shifted nervously in her seat. Her eyes darted toward the grand front door, where they could already see their family members gathered, watching them with a mix of amusement and curiosity.

As they stepped out of the car, Ruhanika instinctively reached for Abhinav's arm, her fingers tightening around the fabric of his shirt sleeves. Her grip was firm, almost pleading. Abhinav glanced at her and offered a soft, reassuring smile, though the fluttering in his own chest betrayed his calm exterior. Together, they walked toward the imposing palace entrance, hand in hand, their footsteps echoing on the stone pathway.

Abhinav noticed the expectant looks on the faces of their family members as they reached the doorway. His mother stood at the front, arms crossed, while Gayatri Shekhawat, His Dadi, raised an eyebrow in amusement. A soft chuckle escaped his lips, and before Ruhanika could react, he tugged her close and grinned mischievously.

"Well, well," Her Badi Maa said, her voice carrying a tone of mock seriousness. "Look who decided to show up."

"This was all her idea," Abhinav said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "I tried to talk her out of it, but she threatened me. What could I do? I'm a helpless husband-to-be."
