The rain was relentless as I sped down the highway, each drop striking the windshield like a rhythmic, constant reminder of the storm within me. The journey was almost a blur, the anger, and the satisfaction blending together as I pulled into the palace's parking lot. I stepped out of the car, letting the rain wash over me, soaking me to the bone. It felt as if every drop was stripping away the remnants of the past, cleansing me from everything I had held onto for so long. I was finally free.

The adrenaline surged as I spun in a small circle, dancing in the rain, my arms spread wide to embrace the cold night air. It was a liberation I couldn't contain. Rain had always been my silent companion, always there for me—even when people hadn't been. But tonight, it felt different, like a fresh start.

Lost in my trance, I didn't hear him approach. My brother's voice cut through the rain, a blend of confusion and sternness. "What are you doing out here in this rain, Rooh?"

I stopped, a smirk tugging at my lips as I turned to face him, not caring to hide the satisfaction in my expression.

"Bhaiya, today I got rid of some people I considered...unnecessary in my life," I replied nonchalantly, watching his face twist in shock as he noticed the faint tint of red the rain had failed to wash away entirely.

He took a step closer, lowering his voice to a sharp whisper. "Are you out of your mind? What the hell did you do, Ruhanika?"

"Nothing major, Bhaiya." I shrugged, feigning innocence. "Can we talk about it later?" I attempted to deflect, unwilling to revisit the night's events.

He gave me a hard look, one I couldn't dodge, then sighed. "Fine, but don't think this is over. Freshen up first—I'll be back in a few minutes so we can talk."

I nodded, letting him leave, but the thrill of the night was already beginning to dissipate as I headed back toward my room. Abhinav's face flashed in my mind. I knew he'd be waiting, and his concern was a weight I could almost feel on my shoulders.
