It had been two months since Sanyukta had opened her eyes to the world again, after what felt like an eternity of silence. The Rajput household, once marked by a weighty air of uncertainty and grief, was now alive with the flutter of excitement and joy. The palace, nestled against the backdrop of royal grandeur, glistened with decorations and a renewed sense of life. Fresh marigolds and jasmine adorned every corner, their fragrant aroma wafting through the air, while ornate chandeliers sparkled like stars above, casting a golden hue on the family's most treasured occasion—Ruhanika's engagement.
The joy of the upcoming celebration radiated through the heart of the palace, as every member of the family moved with purpose and excitement. Yet, at the center of this storm of preparation was Avantika Pratap Singh Rajput, Ruhanika's mother, whose eyes never missed a detail. She moved gracefully but swiftly, her instructions echoing through the grand hallways.
"Please make sure the flowers are from the freshest batch. No wilting petals!" Avantika's voice, though soft, carried the urgency of the occasion. She motioned to the decorators, her gaze briefly softening as she imagined the look on her youngest daughter's face when she saw everything perfectly arranged.
"Pratap ji, have you spoken to Pandit ji? I need to ensure the muhurat aligns perfectly with the preparations," she called to her husband, whose calm demeanor was a welcome contrast to her nervous energy.
"Yes, yes, everything's on schedule. Don't worry," Pratap reassured, his smile a reminder of the steady support he always offered her in these moments of chaos.
"Nandan," Avantika's attention turned to a younger child, "have the caterers been briefed? We must honor our traditions... make sure they know that every dish has to be flawless."
The bustling continued around her, but Avantika's thoughts briefly drifted upstairs, to her two daughters, and her heart swelled with emotion. She had seen how, in the past two months, Sanyukta and Ruhanika's bond had deepened, threading their lives together even tighter. Her girls had always been close, but now... now they were inseparable, as if making up for the time they had lost during Sanyukta's long slumber.
"Jiji, I've gone through all the arrangements," she sighed softly, "now I just need to check on my girls. God knows what trouble they're getting into upstairs."
Meanwhile, upstairs in the sisters' room, the scene was much more relaxed—filled with laughter, playful teasing, and sisterly love that could light up even the darkest of days. The two sisters lounged on the bed, their limbs entangled as they half-watched The Vampire Diaries, their favorite guilty pleasure show. Sanyukta's arm was casually draped over Ruhanika's shoulders, and their giggles filled the room as they debated the endless topic of their TV crushes.
