The golden chandeliers cast a warm glow over the lavish decorations as Jungkook fixed the cuff of his sleeves, looking at his reflection. He donned an exquisite black morning suit with every detail meticulously crafted and fitted to highlight his broad shoulders and narrow waist. His crisp white dress shirt, perfectly pressed and adorned with diamond-studded cufflinks, provided a striking contrast to the darkness of the suit. A meticulously tied black silk tie completed the ensemble, adding an air of refinement to the overall look. The attire was not just clothing—it was a statement of power and wealth.

He appeared calm and composed, but behind his smile, nerve-wracking emotions were buddling up in the pit of his stomach. He knew that this wedding would mark the beginning of a dangerous conflict with his stepbrother, a rivalry fueled by not only power and control but also the love they both harbored for the same woman.

As he adjusted his tie in front of the ornate mirror, his reflection revealed the anxiety that gnawed at him. With a deep breath, Jungkook braced himself for what lay ahead, he was prepared to protect her, even if it meant going to war with his own flesh and blood.

After the wedding, they planned to jet off to Euphoria for their honeymoon, a seemingly blissful getaway scheduled for three weeks. However, beneath the romantic facade, it was merely a strategic move to ensure Diva's safety, getting her as far away as possible from potential trouble.

Having secured Diva's safety, he would return to eliminate the biggest threat to her happiness even if it meant defying his own father or committing the gravest of sins a son could imagine, he was prepared for the grueling path ahead.

As the thought of his beautiful bride crossed his mind, a fleeting smile appeared on Jungkook's lips. Her happiness was his driving force, the reason he was willing to face the impending storm. In the aftermath of it all, even if his own survival was uncertain, he found solace in the thought that, he would meet his end as her man. In his sacrifice, he could secure a future for her that was free from pain and fear, and that alone gave the purpose and meaning of his actions.

"I have made sure he can't leave his chamber," Damian informed Jungkook, his hand resting reassuringly on Jungkook's shoulder, a gesture meant to convey the confidence that everything would proceed without a hitch.

"In the past two months," Damian continued, "I've closely monitored all of his movements. He hasn't been able to make contact with anyone from Isanna, and aside from a few charity events in hospitals, Taehyung hasn't been very active. Most of the time, he's inebriated. It's safe to say he doesn't even realize today is the day," Damian concluded but paused when Jungkook turned around to face him.

Damian's gaze traced his son from head to toe, a mixture of pride and disbelief glistening in his eyes. "My boy is getting married," his voice held a hint of astonishment, struggling to grasp how quickly time had passed, transforming his baby boy into a grown man.

He wiped away the tears that had gathered at the corners of his eyes, then took a deep breath,  brushing off any imperfections on his son's impeccably tailored suit.

"Your mother's plane was unfortunately delayed, but she should hopefully arrive before the wedding concludes. I did offer to send a jet, but you know how stubborn she can be," Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head in fond familiarity with his mother's temperament.

"She isn't too pleased about the wedding," Jungkook confided, his voice tinged with understanding. "Especially since it solidifies that I'll never be leaving Vennesia," he added, fully comprehending his mother's uneasiness.
