The room was filled with an oppressive stillness that seemed to weigh Damian's shoulders. He watched his son, Taehyung, stand resolute and unyielding, his words echoing through the silence like the toll of a funeral bell. Damian had hoped that Taehyung would retract his statement, but it was clear that he had no intention of concealing his emotions or hiding in the shadows any longer.

"I love her," Taehyung confessed.

"I love her more than Jimin ever did, more than Jungkook will ever do...I need her to be with me, you have to understand" Damian had heard these same words before, spoken by his oldest and youngest sons. They had begged him for the sake of their love for the same woman. Even the scene felt uncanny when Taehyung readily went to his knees to convey how sincere he was. His sincerity was undeniable, but Damian couldn't allow his stubbornness to ruin the family any further.

"Taehyung, get up," Damian demanded, his voice firm and unwavering. But the boy remained on his knees, his eyes locked on Damian's, his love for this woman evident in every fiber of his being.

"Father, I have never asked for anything in my life. I have always been the son you want, walked in the path you showed..."

"NO!" Damian harshly shook his head, turning away from the kneeling guy denying his request before he could even make one.

"Father...she is my butterfly," Damian took a sharp breath, having a very good understanding of what the words implicated.

After the tragic passing of Taehee, every time Taehyung would ask about his mother, Damian would console him by saying she was now a butterfly, soaring freely through the world and watching over him from a distance. Little did he know that these words would shape Taehyung's life in ways he never could have imagined. As the years went by, his fascination grew. He would spend hours studying them in books and spent countless hours at the butterfly exhibit in the local zoo.

Damian did his best to indulge his son's passion, even planting a special butterfly garden in their backyard. He hoped that the fluttering creatures would bring joy to his son's life. But what Taehyung really longed for was to own a butterfly - one that would come to their garden of its own free will. He yearned for a butterfly that would be his constant companion, a symbol of hope in a world that could often feel so lonely. However, Taehyung's desire remained unquenched until the day he finally found her - the butterfly that would change everything.

Damian's heart felt heavy as he watched his son plead with him for his brother's girl. He wished he could give his son everything he wanted, but Diva wasn't his to give. Therefore, he repeated the same word he had said to the eldest.

"It is not in my hand,"

"But it is, Father." he implored, begging Damian to use his power and influence to give him what he wanted.

"You own this country and its people," he said. "You gave her to Jungkook, and even when she wanted to be with Jimin, you intervened. Why can't you do that for me?" Damian sighed heavily. He knew that his son didn't understand the full extent of the situation.

"Taehyung, she has always belonged to Jungkook," he explained patiently. "On his birthday, he declared her to be his woman, and I respected that. And about her wanting to be with Jimin, I didn't just banish him in Jungkook's favor. I gave them both an option. If they choose her, they would have to give away everything, including their claim to the succession. Jimin hesitated because of his mother but Jungkook...it didn't take him a second to make his choice..."

"I am ready to renounce my succession..." Taehyung interrupted, standing on his two feet.

"I don't need this empire, I don't need anything" Damian placed his hand over Taehyung's shoulder, stopping him. He shook his head, conveying that nothing he did would alter their situation. Damian eyed his son in pity, knowing that no words could ease the pain he was feeling.

"Is it because I am not your real son," Damian's hand slipped in shock upon hearing his son's words.

"I know mom was married before you snatched her from him. So tell me, Father, did you kill him to make her yours? Did you kill my real dad?" Damian's heart sank at his son's accusations.

"Who told you this nonsense?" he riled up his fist, though it was quite obvious who the person lurking behind his words was. He was perplexed, wondering for how long Taehyung had believed Jiah's lies.

"Is it because I am not your real son? You don't care about the pain I am going through?" his voice though soft carried weight that crushed Damian's heart.

"KIMERON TAEHYUNG!" Damian shouted, his voice ringing in the air, a mix of anger and desperation.

"Am I really a Kimeron?" Taehyung scoffed, penetrating his father's eyes, looking for an answer, a confirmation of his fears.

"Taehyung, my boy, you are my son. You are my blood," Damian attempted to caress his son's cheek, but Taehyung rejected his touch by yanking his hand away.

"Then why," Taehyung's voice broke, and Damian could see the pain in his eyes.

"Why Father? Why can't you see my pain? How can not see I have been drowning myself in substances to ease my pain?" he questioned his father's negligence despite claiming to love him the most.

"For years, I have been suffocating for years. She was supposed to be mine, I was supposed to be her but you all snatched her away from me" Taehyung's gaze held a mixture of anger and despair that suffocated Damian.

Taehyung had dreamed of her, of being with her, of being hers. But now, all of those dreams lay shattered at his feet, and he knew exactly who to blame.

"You ruined it," Taehyung accused, his voice heavy with emotion. "You ruined me."

"I am done with staying on the sideline watching you and your son snatch her away from me,"

Taehyung's determination was palpable, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity that spoke of his unshakeable resolve. He was done with playing games, done with scheming and manipulating his way through life. No, Taehyung was ready to meet any challenge head-on to charge forward with all the strength and determination he could muster.

"I will have her, no matter what it takes. And anyone who tries to stop me, including you, Father, will be destroyed," With those words, he turned on his heel and strode away, leaving his father standing there, stunned by his son's words.

But Taehyung's resolve faltered when his father's voice echoed behind him. "What did you do, Taehyung? What did you do to make her want to take her own life?"

"If she gets pregnant," he said through gritted teeth, "you can congratulate Jungkook for being the Uncle.
