I have been warning since the beginning that this book might be disturbing to read.
I do not support how the characters behave in this book plus this book is purely for entertainment.⭑・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼✿ ✿✼:*゚:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・⭑
Saya's brain failed in every aspect to react appropriately. It was going into overdrive but couldn't form a single coherent word rather she simply grinned like a Cheshire cat. The drug in her system had fucked up her response system and despite her panicking nerve, her expression was relaxed.
As they locked their eyes she realized nothing was a coincidence. Since day one, Taehyung was patiently waiting and planning every detail to lead them to this day however, one simple slip of taking the drug unraveled his true intentions.
"All these years you didn't realize it was never Jimin. You swallowed every lie he told you without questioning " his voice was no longer tender rather it held the gruff he had been living with, witnessing she love his older half-brother and then be with the youngest while he was left hanging, ignored, and overlooked.
Saya shook her head, vividly recalling the boy she had seen right after she opened her eyes was Jimin. However, it was Taehyung who had pulled her back and shielded her eyes to spare her from witnessing her father's suicide. It was Taehyung who had held her tightly as she clung to his shirt, while he comfortingly patted her head until her trembling subsided. In those brief moments when he went to fetch water for the frightened girl, the older one took his place just as her eyes fluttered open, leading her to mistakenly perceive Jimin as the boy.
Taehyung was always shy as a boy. He could never muster up the courage to hand her the note face-to-face. Instead, he would leave notes anonymously and watch her smile from a distance.
Unaware of their origin, she remained oblivious to the fact that the notes she had been receiving were actually from Taehyung. When she caught sight of Jimin in the library, returning the book they had used to exchange messages, it was actually Taehyung who had asked him to do so.Taehyung was on cloud nine believing the girl he was loved loved him back. He was unaware that she had assumed him to be someone else since the start. After all, in the notes she slipped she never addressed him by his name.
The truth he was oblivious to was revealed when they accidentally stumbled upon each other in the library, and she greeted him just as Jungkook's elder brother.
His chest filled with bitterness, recalling Jimin's words when he confronted him about the entire misunderstanding. Only then Taehyung perceived how his poor behavior toward his half-brother had manifested into hatred, so Jimin was more than happy to retribute by snatching the only person he truly wanted.
Jimin took revenge on Taehyung, Taehee's son for years of mistreatment towards him and his mother by the Kimeron family.
"What do you think Taehyung? She loves me because she thinks I wrote the letter or she loves those letters because she thinks it was written by me. Go ahead and ask her, I would love to know as well" Jimin's words had imprinted in his mind, impeding him from ever confessing the truth, and rather than facing her he decided to hide in the shadow.
He never wished to know the answer to the question because if the answer was otherwise it would have destroyed him. After all, he was just fourteen and he believed everything his older brother said to him.
"I was the person who had everything he wanted. Our father's love, and everyone's validation while he and his mom were cast away. He never loved you. Not even for once. He used you to get back at me. " Taehyung affirmed even though he was aware it was just a half-truth and somewhere along the line, Jimin fell for her as well.
