The aroma of vanilla and sugar swirled around the kitchen as Saya carefully measured flour into a mixing bowl. Her fingers danced gracefully, expertly cracking eggs into the mixture, while Jungkook stood by her side, wearing an apron assisting her in the task. His tenor voice humming softly as he helped Saya sift through the ingredients, working as a well-coordinated team, blending butter and sugar with practiced ease.

As Saya swept a stray lock of hair from her face, a smudge of flour found its way onto her cheek eliciting a faint chuckle from Jungkook. With a fond smile, he reached out, his touch light and affectionate, to sweep away the powdery residue, his gesture filled with affectionate.

Years had passed and yet her one glance was enough to ignite a fierce flutter in Jungkook's heart, his urge to embrace her escalating like an uncontrolled wildfire, consuming all boundaries. Noticing the way his gaze was fixated on her face, she nudged him to concentrate on the task before them.

"Kookie, two more spoons" Her delicate voice snapped Jungkook out of the trance he had fallen into, gazing at her face.  Remembering they were in the middle of preparing a cake for Father's Day, Jungkook quickly resumed his task, pouring cocoa powder into the mixing bowl.

Another of Saya's loose strands of hair fell in front of her face, disrupting her concentration. With a click of her tongue, she brushed the strand away, a hint of annoyance flickering across her features. Letting out a soft sigh, Jungkook reached for a nearby hair tie and signaled her to turn around. With a smile of gratitude, Saya turned as he gathered her unruly locks into a loose ponytail. His fingers moved with ease, securing her hair away from her face and tucking a stray strand behind her ear.

"There," he whispered, his fingers lingering on the smooth curve of her neck. "Now you're all set."

With a grateful smile, she leaned in to press a soft kiss to his lips, the taste of sweetness lingering between them. Just as she was about to pull away, Jungkook surprised her by encircling his arms around her, pulling her closer, and deepening their kiss.

Lost in the moment, they melted into each other's embrace, the world around them fading away as their love enveloped them completely. However, their tranquil moment was suddenly interrupted by the hurried footsteps of their 8-year-old son, Yume, who burst into the kitchen, his eyes wide with panic.

"Eomma! Appaa!" he exclaimed, breathless and flustered along with their dog Bam barking for their attention.

They both turned their head to the commotion and before they could ask what happened,  Yume hid behind Jungkook while their 15-year-old daughter, Seol, followed closely behind, a furious expression on her face.

"What happened? Why are you two fighting again?" Saya inquired, her hand reaching out to her, attempting to diffuse the escalating tension. Their dog let out another bark and then whimpered with its ears lowered as if to say the girl sorry on the little boy's behalf.

"I warned him to stay away from the painting but that fucking twerp went and ruined it!" Seol's hands trembled with restrained fury as she recalled how a print of a paw now marred her days of hard work.

"Language, Seol," Saya's tone was firm as she issued the reminder, her eyes narrowing slightly with parental authority. "And I'm certain he didn't mean to," she added, coming to the defense of the little boy who stood before them, his gaze pleading as he looked toward his elder sister.
