Jungkook gently caressed the picture on his screen, his fingertips tracing the contours of the little girl nestled in her mother's embrace. Her tiny arms encircled her mother's neck tightly, their cheeks pressed together in a tender moment captured forever. The radiant smile on their faces and the sparkle of joy in their eyes were like a healing salve to his aching heart but at the same time, it flooded him with a longing feeling for the warmth of their presence. His heart swelled as his eyes lovingly traced each delicate feature of his daughter's face.  With each glance, he found features resembling him and those she had taken after her mother. Memorizing every single aspect of the miracle he and Saya had brought into the world, he smiled in the stillness of the night marked by nothing but loneliness and regrets.

He closes his eyes, longing to hear the sweet, tinkling melody of her giggle. Perhaps it would resonate through his soul like a symphony, each note plucking at the strings of his heart, weaving an everlasting harmony. Or maybe it would dance through his world like a cheerful Christmas jingle, spreading joy to every corner of his existence.

For years, the idea of fatherhood had lingered in the depths of his thoughts, a distant dream that seemed almost foolish. It was a desire that he never dared to wish for, but one he never stopped chasing after. After all, at 12 years old Jungkook was already determined to turn their childhood game of playing house into a reality of their future.

In all honesty, all Jungkook ever yearned for was to share a happy and healthy life with Saya by his side.

However, six years ago when a bullet, narrowly missed his heart and rendered him incapacitated everything he held dear was ripped away in the blink of an eye. When he regained consciousness, his dreams lay in ruins, his hopes crushed, and the love of his life torn from his embrace. The waves of devastation that engulfed him couldn't be put into words and the shock nearly drove him to the brink of insanity. Anyway being far from Saya he was a mere shell, devoid of its soul.

To protect him, his mother arranged a fake funeral and even went as far as to register him as deceased officially. They then moved to Avalon where her mother's adopted son Namjoon was living with his wife. Namjoon was already a prominent political figure in Avalon therefore it was easier to hide where the influence of Venessia had yet to reach.

It took him months to mend the wounds, each day was a battle against the memories, against the pain that gnawed at his soul. But as the scars healed, a steely resolve took root within him, fueled by the burning desire for revenge.

When he finally emerged from the depths of despair, Jungkook wasted no time honing his mind and body. With the help of his mother and Namjoon, they began strategizing every move, every step towards dismantling Taehyung's empire. The bitter lesson of underestimating his half-brother was learned at a high cost but this time Jungkook was determined to rewrite the narrative. This time, Jungkook vowed to leave no stone unturned, no weakness unexploited. He would rise from the ashes of his past, stronger, wiser, and more relentless than ever before.
