Back in their bedroom, they sat beside each other in complete silence, neither uttered a word, both consumed by their own thought. Moonlight filtered through the window, casting a soft glow on the stillness that enveloped them. As minutes passed, the atmosphere began to shift. A subtle change in posture, and a shared glance, hinted at a desire to break the silence.

"Why do you love me, Taehyung?" Saya's inquiry broke the fragile silence enveloping them. Taehyung turned his head, his gaze locking onto her as she elaborated.

"I can understand Jungkook's love, that boy grew up loving me. He has known no life without me in it but that isn't the case for you. So why are you so obsessed with me?" Taehyung huffed, a humorless sound, as he shifted to face her. Her question made him recollect his thoughts for a while before he began.

"The day I first laid eyes on you was on my late mother's birthday," he murmured softly, tenderly enclosing her hands within his own.

"My father had told me that she had transformed into a butterfly and ever since  I was fascinated by them. I always wanted to have one, caress one." He revealed, his voice laced with sincerity.

"That day you were wearing a blue dress and a white butterfly ribbon in her hair. And I have no clue how my younger self believed you to be the butterfly sent by my mother " He released a curt chuckle realizing how stupid he sounded but it was his ultimate truth.

"Since that very day, I was enthralled by you. My childish heart wished for you to be my butterfly.  And as our letters began to flow, my fascination blossomed into love, eventually becoming my sole obsession," Saya wished she could travel back in time and smack the little boy's head for conjuring such an absurd theory that would ruin all of their lives.

After all, the single seed planted in his mind grew into the root of every disaster in her life.

"Do you remember the poems you wrote to me?" he inquired, and when Saya shook her head, he proceeded to recite them, each verse etched in his memory like the lines of a beloved melody.

"Through the circle of life and every season's shift
From dawn's first light to twilight's gentle drift.
In the echoes of laughter and silent tears,
Through every moment, and every year,

I want to be yours, until the time disperse"

Saya's eyes softened, a gentle tide of memories flooding back to her. The zeal of her sixteen-year-old self, pouring passion into every word she wrote, the affection she held for the boy washing her over like a wave.

"Despite the pain I bear and the distance we share
I cling to hope that one day we'll persevere
Dreams may be the only realm we get to meet,
Or in life's final breath, our souls may finally greet

To die as yours, even if just for a single breath,
Is a wish am I holding on to, through life and death."

As he recited another of her heartfelt words, It was a testament to his deep attachment to every piece she ever wrote to him.

Saya couldn't help but avert her gaze, feeling the uncomfortable constriction in her chest tighten its grip. She had written those words in pain, after a few months Damian had declared to be Jungkook's property.

"Imagine wholeheartedly believing in those words and then living day after day, night after night,  watching you with my brothers. So tell me, how could I not lose my sanity?" He urged her to empathize with him.
