Pedro POV
Although we lost the match tonight, most of the players decided to go out and party. We hadn't gone out in awhile, and I was already feeling terrible about the loss so I wanted to go out. When we got back to the hotel, we changed and got ready to head downtown to the club. It was only Ferran, Eric, and I and a few others. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to invite Pablo. I know he's been going through a lot, and I wasn't sure if he was feeling well enough to go.
"Where are you going?" He asks me as I walk out of the bathroom. He was laying in bed on his phone.
"The guys and I were going out to the club. Um we weren't sure if-"
"Can I come?" He asks sitting up.
"Oh. Sure, we just didn't know if you were up to party so we didn't invite you originally. Sorry"
"I want to distract myself" he replies. I nod my head, but am feeling unsure.I know Pablo, and I can tell when he's not feeling well enough. But I don't want to be rude and uninvite him. I wait for him to get ready before we head downstairs to meet Eric and Ferran. We take a taxi into town to avoid anyone seeing us. It's around 11:30pm at this point, so the only people out are the ones partying. We arrive at the club and hurry inside.
We find a table and order drinks as we enjoy the music and talk about anything other than the match. I catch a glance with a girl across the room who smiles at me. She's with a group of friends, and she looks so good in her dress. Ferran nudges me and convinces me to go over.
"Hola, como te va?" I smile as I sit beside her.
"Finally you come over, I thought you wouldn't" she jokes.
"Ahh, why didn't you come over to me?" I joke back.
"Good point" she smiles
"Can I buy you a drink?"
"Why don't we dance first?" She smirks.
"Hmm I'm not really a dancer" I respond.
"I'll show you. Just follow my lead"
I agree and put my hand out for her. I love how straightforward and confident she is.We walk toward the dance floor as the reggaeton plays in the background. I feel her body closer to mine and I follow her lead. We continue the night together, after a few drinks her friends decide they are going to head out.
"I had a great time" I smile.
"Me too. Gracias Pedro, I hope we can see each other soon" she winks, placing a kiss on my cheek.
I blush, "how did you know who I-"
"Everyone knows you, Canario" she replies
"Can I get your number?" I say, knowing I really like this girl now. She laughs and hands me her phone. I type my number in.
"Buenas noches" I smile before kissing her cheek.
Her friends squeal as they pull her over and walk out of the club. I guess I still have game.I walk back to where the guys are, like always only Eric has found a girl to dance with. I can clearly see Pablo has had too many drinks.
"We should head out, don't you think?" I say leaning over to Pablo. He shakes his head.
"I'm feeling good right now pedri. Leave me alone" he slurs.
"Just let him be" ferran shrugs. I guess he's right, he's not doing anything wrong.I should tell Delaney in case she's been trying to call him. I pull out my phone but stop myself. I shouldn't get involved. I don't want to cause an argument between them, it's not my place to be in. I put my phone away and begin talking to Ferran.
____
A few hours later, I realize I can't find Pablo. I was too busy with Ferran that I didn't realize he had left. We begin looking around for him but can't find him. I decide to walk over to the bathrooms to check. They're down a hallway towards a back. I finally see Pablo leaning against a wall, talking closely with a girl, his arms wrapped around her. Shit.
"Pablo! There you are, let's go" I say nervously as I rush to grab him.
"Pedro! Let me go" he slurs
"Gavi, you're going to regret this. Please listen to me" I beg him. The girl rolls her eyes at me and walks away. I use all my force to pull Gavi with me. I lead him as we walk back to the table with Ferran.
"Woah, Everything okay?" Ferran says as he stands up.
"Yeah, we should head out. Unless you two want to stay" I tell him. He shakes his head and agrees it's getting late.
