chapter 53

Gavi POV
Everyone walks inside besides Pedri and I. I slam my fist against the wall in anger.

"Pablo, is it true?" Pedri looks at me, confused.
I don't respond, I'm not sure how to explain everything . My anger takes over and I begin to cry out of anger. I simply look at him and nod. His face turns into disappointment. He shakes his head and sits on the front steps.

I sigh before walking over and sitting next to him. I begin to tell him everything that happened.

A few months ago. (Flash back)

I was getting ready to head off to training. Mateo and I had just finished eating breakfast. I packed his diaper bag, and carried him out to the car seat once we had everything.

I was going to drop him off at his grandparents house, while I was at practice. Still no sign of when Delaney would wake up, but I was doing the best I could.

We get to her parents house, and I walk in with Mateo. Immediately we're greeted by Lucas and Martin with hugs.
"Gavi!" They both say.
"Hola campeones. What's up?" I smile.

I set Mateo down, and he runs off with them to go play.
"Pablo buenos días" her mother says from the kitchen.
I walk over and hug her. I can't help it  and tears form in my eyes. Being in this house surrounded by her family brings me so many memories.
She hugs me back tight.

"We miss her too Pablo. Very much. But you're doing great, I'm glad you've asked us for help. You do so much on your own" she says to me. I take a deep breath and let go.
"I'm doing my best to stay strong for her, for Mateo. It's just so hard" I reply.
"Trust me, you're doing a great job" she smiles.

We catch up for a bit, before I need to head out.
I say goodbye to everyone, and walk out the door towards the car.

Eventually I arrive at the training facility, luckily there aren't many people outside. I grab my gym bag, and close the car. I begin to walk and am interrupted by my phone ringing.

Unknown caller

I answer either way.

Hola?

Hola Pablo. It's me, Lena.

Lena? Why are you calling me.

Just to see how Delaneys doing. I see she's been ignoring me, I know she's all popular now but-

She's in a coma, how do you expect her to talk to you?!

Excuses excuses. What about before? Huh? She made new friends and moved on-

Lena this is beyy try childish and I don't have time to-

Exactly! No one ever had time for me. You know what? I'm done. I'm going to expose everything. That Pedro is Mateos father. That she was a slut and tried to get with everyone!

Shut up! Shut up! Don't you dare do that.

Hmm I don't care what you have to say.

Lena please. Please please, don't do that, Pedro just found out and it's private.

She laughs.
I don't know Pablo, I feel like I have to.
