chapter 52

The reception was beautiful. It could not have been any more perfect. Our entire families were here as well as all our friends. The Barcelona team, most from the Atletico team. There were so many people that at some points I felt like I had lost Pablo. Eventually we made it back into each other arms and took in everything around us.

"Muchas gracias Pablo. For making me the happiest woman ever. For everything. I can't imagine my life any other way" I say as I look into his beautiful brown eyes.
"I'd do anything and everything for you amor. Te quiero, and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together, grow our family even more" he replies.

He pulls me in so he's holding me in his arms and kisses my lips. We smile as we look out into the ocean and take it all in.

The next day after the wedding was terrible waking up. I had the worst headache from drinking, and I think everyone felt the same. Our closest family and friends stayed in my parents beach house, since it has many rooms. We all planned to stay the week before Gavi and I headed off to our honeymoon. It was great to have us all together.

"That smells incredible" is the first thing Gavi says as he wakes up. I laugh as he yawns.
"Buenos días amor" I smile and kiss him.
"Buenos días Sra. Gavira" he winks. He holds me in his arms and kisses my cheek.

The smell do the food increases, which I guess means it's time for breakfast.

I get up to go see what's going on. I see Mateo, pedri, my dad, and joao in the kitchen. My dad is cooking, and I smile as they all turn to look at me. I go around to each one and greet them, and end with mateo.

"Did you have fun last night amor?" I say as I kiss his cheek. He shrugs, causing us all to laugh.

"He's crazy" I laugh.
"Wonder where he got it" pedri says sarcastically and nudges me. I roll my eyes playfully and he wraps his arm around my shoulder.
"Just kidding" he says.

I'm glad how our relationship has grown. With coparenting and becoming closer friends.  It's obviously better for everyone around us that we get along.

I walk around to help my dad cook, as everyone is going to start waking up soon.

Everyone begins to wake up, and helps set up a table outside in the deck. This way we can enjoy the nice weather and the sounds of the beach.

"Why aren't you out here helping cook?" I joke with Fernando, pedris brother. He laughs, "I'm on vacation" he winks. I shake my head, as he walks out to help with the table.

As we finish the food, we begin to take it outside and set it at the table. We set it up in a buffet style in the center. Everyone takes their seats and I laugh at how some of us are still in our pajamas, and with our messy hair. But at least everyone is smiling and having a good time.

I take a seat next to Gavi and Mateo, who is in his high chair. We each have a plate and begin to serve ourselves and eat.

"Before we eat, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone once again for all you do for us. We couldn't think of a better group of people to spend the week here with and we appreciate you all" Gavi says. I smile and kiss his cheek. Everyone cheers and claps, and before I can say anything the doorbell rings. I ignore it because Douglas is usually there.

"I'll get it" I say after it rings again. I walk through the living room to the main door. As I look outside I'm surprised to see who it is. Lena.

You're probably wondering where she's been. It's been complicated. We grew apart for some reason, with everything from the coma to Mateo and all, I guess we just distanced each other. I reached out many times but no response. Joao told me his family hadn't heard of her either, so they assumed she was just away at a new job.

I open the door and can tell something is wrong.

"Hi Lena, I'm surprised to see you" I say.
"Hmm yeah you would be. I mean you only ditched me for your new life, your new friends your fancy house, just left me behind" she rolls her eyes.
"What, no I-"
"Amor, who is it?" I hear Gavi say as he walks behind me. He freezes as he sees her.
"Oh wow. Look at the beautiful celebrity couple here. Congratulations actually I wanted to congratulate you both in person" she says sarcastically.
"Lena, we can talk about this, I'm not sure why you're so upset" I say. She scoffs.
"It's just amazing! Like I can't believe how hypocritical you all are" she laughs. By now I'm really confused.

"Hey, everything okay?" Joao says as he walks over
"Lena what the hell? Why did you disappear?" He says shocked.
"Another hypocrite" she rolls her eyes.
"You know what? Why don't you tell her? Huh Pablo? Did you tell her what happened?!" She yells. I turn to Gavi and he looks blank. She laughs.
"That's so funny. I knew he wouldn't tell you, I mean why would he? He's just like all the others"

"Lena please" Gavi finally says. Lena seems to be enjoying this.
"What's all the yelling?" Pedri says walking out.
"Oh great. It's a big family party. This is so cute. I'm glad you're all getting along well" she smiles.
"Pedro, Pablo was just about to tell us all something" Lena says.
"Lena I think you need to go" joao says. He steps towards her and grabs her arm.
"Let go! She should know. After all there are no secrets in marriage" she laughs again.

Pablo grabs my hand. I hold it back, he seems very upset.
"What's going on Pablo?" I say to him. He doesn't look at me, and his eyes tear up.
"Lena, you need to leave!" Joao says.

At this time Douglas showed up. He jogs over and goes to help joao.
"Miss you need to go" he says to her.
"Fine! But tell her Pablo. How we fucked, while you were together" she smiles.

My palm gets sweaty and I start to feel drowsy.
"Wh-what?" I say.
"Princesa I- please just, can we talk inside?" Gavi says with tears in his eyes.
"Just tell me here" I say. Now tears in my eyes.
"Tell her Pablo. Actually I'll tell her, I don't give a shit" Lena says. Douglas tries to hold her and walk her away, but she's still close.

"I threatened to tell the world about who Mateos father was. Of course I told Gavi I was going to do this. I was upset at you Delaney. That way the world would call you so many words. They would know how you slept around and moved between the two best friends. But Gavi begged me not to. I was so determined to do it though, until I gave him one condition where I wouldn't. He had to sleep with me, one night. But let me tell you it was amazin-" before she could finish I ran over and punched her. I saw blood out of her nose, and Douglas picked her up and walked her to her car.

I stood there with tears in my eyes. Joao grabbed me and held me.
"Hey, hey calm down. Let's just calm down" he says. I can't even look at Gavis face. I'm too hurt.
"Miss you should go inside" Douglas yells to me. Lena drives off as soon as she gets in her car.

I turn around, and watch as pedri looks in shock. Gavi looks fill of anger, with his eyes bloodshot.
"Princesa. Please can we talk?" He says as he grabs my arm. I pull away and walk inside. They follow behind.

I walk over to the room and begin to sob. I know I shouldn't jump to conclusions but by his reaction,it's true. and in the moment I can't comprehend everything so I sit there and cry.
