Pov: Hardin

I start to wake up from my phone who is buzzing. " please just take you phone Hardin" I look at my left and see zed laying on the floor next to his bed. How did he even end up there I shake my head and take my phone " with Hardin" It's a couple seconds silent on the other side. But then I hear a soft voice " Hardin please can you come I need you". I recognize the voice in a second " Tess what's going on where are you" " I'm at the park you know my favorite spot right" I nod in myself " yeah I will be there in a couple minutes alright" I take my clothes and get dressed as fast as I can Her voice was broken it was so broken that it sounded that someone had said bad news to her.

I walk downstairs and take my car keys and get in. After 5 minutes I arrived at the park and get out I see her sitting on the grass and walk to her " Tess" I sit down next to her I see her looking at me with tears in her eyes " what's wrong love" I take her hand and rub it gently. I expected she will pull her hands back but she didn't " my mom uhm" she tries to say but every time she cried more and more I pick her up and put her on my lap " what's going on Tess" i feel her arm around my neck as she cries more It's so heartbreaking to see her this way.

After a couple minutes she start to calm down a bit " my mom heard from the doctor that she has stage 4 cancer she only has 1 month before she uhm will pass away" I look at Tessa with a shocked look I didn't expect this news. "But she knew it 3 weeks ago so that means she has only 1 week" I hug her tighter. " I'm so sorry Tess " I didn't know what to say Of course I was shocked too she raised me when I was little I always hoped she wouldn't lose her mom like I did " you wanna go home" I feel Tessa shake her head against my chest. " I know your sad Tess but I think it's better to spend time with your mom for the last time, I don't want that you can't say goodbye because you weren't there" I see Tessa looking at me with teary eyes.

" your right I shouldn't have walked away from her" I feel Tessa standing up " we can go to Starbucks an other time" I see Tessa nod. " thank you Hardin for coming" I smile at her " no problem Tess I'm here for you ". " Hardin can you come with me " I look at her and I really want to but I think her mom is still mad at me for what I did " please Hardin". I see Tessa smiling a bit and didn't think to long about my decision " yeah of course" I feel her taking my hand and walk towards my car I open the door for her so she can get in and walk towards the drivers side I get in and start the car. When we arrived at her her I get out and help Tessa We walk inside and see nobody " mom" I see Tessa walking into the kitchen but doesn't come back " Tess " but I didn't get an reaction.

I walk towards the kitchen and see Tessa sitting next to her mom crying. I walk as fast as I can towards her mother and kneel down I take her wrist to feel if she has a heart beat. " Tess call 911" I put my hands on her chest and start to give her cpr. I look up and see Tessa still sitting in shock looking at her mom. " Tess please I know your in shock but you really have to call 911" still doing cpr. I hear Tessa taking her phone and call 911. " is she alright Hardin please tell me my mom is alright". " why your not answering Hardin" I'm afraid to tell her that her heart isn't beating anymore I hear people coming inside and take it over for me.

" are you her daughter " and see a men pointing at Tessa " yeah I am " " you have to come with us " is the only thing he say. " I'm coming " I take Tessa's hand. " okay only this time". We walk fast towards the ambulance and get inside. After 10 minutes we arrived at the hospital. We walk inside but the doctor stoped us. " you can't come inside I'm sorry you guys have to wait" I shake my head and sit down on a chair and pull Tessa on my lap. "Is she gonna be okay" " I hope so" I rub her back trying to calm her down. " Hardin" " yeah" I feel her turn around so she can face me. Before Tessa can say anything I started to say " I'm sorry Tessa for everything I never wanted to hurt you I really didn't want to but I know what I did was wrong and I'm so crazy in love with you" I feel her cutting me off my placing her lips on mine.

" I know it sounds crazy but when I left it felt like I was missing something at first I didn't know what it was but when you send me that text, I knew what I was missing I know you did something stupid but , I couldn't get you out of my head Hardin I love you" I never expected that she would say that. I hug her and give her a kiss. " mrs young" I look up and see the doctor from earlier standing in front of us. " that's me" I feel Tessa standing up from my lap and shake his hand. "Come with me please " I stand up and walk behind the doctor and Tessa towards his office.

I sit beside Tessa and look at him. " is everything alright with Tessa's mom" I see him shaking his head that means something happened. I take Tessa's hand knowing what to come next. " I'm really sorry mrs young we did everything we could" I look down at my lap and feel Tessa squeezing my hand. " what do you mean doctor" I look at Tessa and see a couple tears falling from her cheeks. " we saw that she had stage 4 cancer but when she collapsed we saw that the cancer spread trough her body we couldn't save her because when we arrived she was already death, and your boyfriends tried to save her but there was nothing he could do to save her I am really sorry mrs young my condolences " I shake my head and stand up " she had a heartbeat how is this possible " I start to hold my tears. " when my colleagues took over her heartbeat dropped and within a second there was no heartbeat I'm really sorry".
