Pov Hardin :

" okay class if you want you can go earlier " of course I didn't let him say that a second time. I text Tessa that I'm done and will there be in 5 minutes. I take my books and my bag and walk into the hall way. I hear someone crying and saying stop then I hear the voice of Molly. I walk as fast as I can and see Jace holding Tessa and Molly with a knife. I punch jace hard on his head and see him falling. I walk towards Molly but she was already running away. I grab Tessa and pull her into a hug. I hear her crying even more I take her to the car and let her get into the car. I walk to the other side and sit down. I start the car and start driving to her house. I look at her and she's just completely in shock. I lay my hand on her leg and rub it gently. When we arrived I open the door Tessa step out of the car and open the front door.

I see her walking towards the back door and open it. I walk behind her outside I lay my hands on her shoulders " Tess talk to me " I see her blankly stare in to my eyes I didn't recognize her eyes anymore there like with no emotion. " Tess please talk to me " I lay my hands in her face. She takes my hand and pull them away from her face and shakes her head. " what did she say Tess " I see her shake her head again and she her walking inside again. I sit down and put my hands in my face. Why wouldn't she talk to me ?

I feel my phone buzzing in my pocket I take my phone and see a message from Molly.

Molly : hey handsome wanna hangout.
Me: what the fuck did you say to her
Molly : what do you mean
Me: don't play dumb Molly what the fuck did you say
Molly: nothing really bad just that her mother died 2 days ago that's she was probably sick of her.
Me: you did fucking what you listen here Molly don't contact me ever again your fucking sick.

I go the profile and block her on everywhere. I put my phone down and feel Tessa sitting next to me with a glass of whiskey. " I'm fine Hardin" she suddenly say. I shake my head " your not Tessa I know what she said" I see her looking at me confused. " she just texted me and I blocked her" " mhm" I see her drinking the glass completely empty and she pours another glass. " you want something " I shake my head " no thank you but your sure this is the way to drink your problems away. I hear her laugh this is not the real tessa " I'm just doing like you did don't let me laugh Hardin we are both a mess failures like she will say so toast to that" as she held her glass up to the sky.

" tess what the hell don't say that" she takes another sip " why not it's the truth I'm a failure for my mother for you I'm pathetic and not worth it come on Hardin you know that and I know that" " this is not you Tessa I know your hurt and what she did was just a sick move but this isn't you" I look at her but her eyes are still as dark. " maybe this is me all along " I shake my head not believing what she just said. " come on Hardin you like girls with more spice right" " no I like girls like you Tessa and you know that" I see Tessa grabbing something out of her purse. " I want to give you this " she gives me a bracelet with a heart and our names are engraved in it. I was confused about her mood swings.

I smile and look at her I stand up and pull her up and pull her in a hug " why are you so cold Tess" I feel her lifting up her shoulders " I just don't feel anything anymore" I didn't expected that answer. " come let's just watch a movie alright " I feel her nod. We walk inside and sit down on the couch. I put on a movie and we started to watch. " I'm gonna put on something comfortable okay" I nod and see Tessa walking up stairs. After a couple minutes she is still not back.

I walk upstairs and open the door I see Tessa laying on the floor. I run towards her " Tess wake up " I tried to wake her up but it didn't work. Then I notice something on the floor pills. " fuck " I grab my phone and call 911. " 911 what's your emergency ". " please send someone her my girlfriend took a bunch of pills and she won't wake up just please send someone" " alright sir calm down there is hulp on there way please stay on the line"

" when did she took the pills " I start to think when " I don't know I think 10 min ago". " okay okay there almost there sir" I hear sirens and within a second I see 2 people standing in front of me. " calm down okay we have to take her with us if you want you can come " I nod and walk with the 2 people downstairs and get inside the ambulance.

We rushed inside but the doctor said I couldn't come but they will do everything they can. I walk back and forth trying to calm down. Why would she do that. I should have known. I sit down and put my hands in my face. I feel a hand on my shoulder. " mister Scott" I nod " please come  with me " the last time the doctor said that we heard her mother had passed away. I sit down in the chair in his office. " she's gonna be alright mr scott you were there just in time" I lay my hands in my face and feel tears coming. " can I see her doctor  ". " yeah sure but she's really tired " i nod and walk with the doctor to her room

I walk in and see Tessa looking at me with tears. I walk towards her and hug her and started to cry " why Tessa "?  " I "
