Can pushes open his office door and leads Sanem in. "See how easy that was?" He spins her and shuts the door.
"You completely surprised me taking my hand, I couldn't speak," she gasps in disbelief. "How could you tell them I'm your girlfriend just like that?" She may have gone with it, it didn't mean she was happy. She wasn't mad, either, only still processing.
"Of course I'm going to say you're my girlfriend, I've been waiting a long time to be able to admit it out loud," he shrugs, his arms up in triumph. "As soon as you told me you told your mother, I already knew I was telling whoever would listen."
She stares at him. Wha...Huh?
"The great Can Divit isn't afraid after all," he points behind him where she could see faces trying to peek over the wall. "If you want I can shout it out into the hallway and - "
She hisses and hurries to stand between him and the door. "Don't you dare," she breathes, her palms against the glass at her sides. "Oh my God," she shakes her head. "Are you crazy?"
Can shrugs and takes her hands, raising them over their heads and pressing her back against the door, getting closer. "I won't say I'm not. You drive me completely and utterly insane." His nose drags along her ear and he inhales.
"Ha," Sanem smiles and rolls her eyes back in he head at the feeling she got when he was this close. "Insane..." she mumbles and he nods against her cheek. Her eyes pop open, remembering they were not alone and then pushes him back a bit. "Mr Can!" she clears her throat and he moves away. "Let's get to work."
"You're right Miss Sanem," he reaches for the door. "I'll walk you to your desk."
"That's okay, I know where it is." She tries to open the door before he can and he keeps it shut.
"I've had a thought," he says in a lower voice, "maybe you can move your work in here?"
She puts a hand on her hip and looks at him in question.
"It's more private, you like working in quiet anyway, and you're more creative on your own. And also, this way, you'll be close to me...you know, if I have to consult you on something important or urgent. It's just to save time instead of me walking to the door or trying to find you."
She nods dazedly, already seeing herself being 'consulted'. "Oh, you can use me any way you - " she agrees a bit too fast and he lifts his brows. "I mean, you can make use of me and my creativity."
He nods, squinting and hiding a smile.
"You're right Mr Can. I think I'll move my work here."
"Alright."
"Alright. I'll go make a space for me somewhere there," she points at his desk and turns to walk over.
"I've had another thought," he says and she looks over her shoulder listening. "I should have kissed you in front of everyone to make my point!"
"Wha - Ah!" She trips over her feet as he laughs at her shocked expression, her hands stretching in front of her to break her fall. She sends multiple files on his desk tumbling to the floor. She sidesteps and then hears a crunch under her boot. What's that? She bends down and he sobers his laughter when she frowns at the files she moves aside on the floor. "Can..." she gasps when she sees the crunch source.
"Relax, I'll pick them up later," he waves a hand.
"Can..." She repeats, picking up the pieces of his stones. "I broke them," she looks up quickly, standing with the two white pieces in her hands. .
He leaves the door and comes closer, his eyes on the stone pieces she shows him.
"C-Can," she swallows, "I'm sorry I...I tripped and...I just wanted to make space for myself and...Why did this have to happen now?"
