"Now we are all settled next to the lake, and relaxed, I will answer some of your questions."
Sanem's hand shoots up into the air immediately. "I'd like to return to the topic of spiritual twins. What is that? Can it be a lover? Where can I find him? What needs to be done so I won't lose him? And what can I do if I lose him?" Sanem glances around her at the staring group. "As a general question you know, it's not for me. It's for a friend."
"I believe if you apply what you've learned here at the seminar to your life then you will find your twin spirit and keep it. And yes, a lover can be one."
That's not very helpful is it? "Okay, buy what if he's off his chains and gone? What do you do?"
"If I can jump in here," Can says before the speaker can open his mouth, "I feel if you have to keep him chained so you won't lose him, then it's only logical that he would want to escape." Sanem keep her eyes ahead, listening. "He's not your twin spirit if he wants to get away. Am I wrong?"
Yes.
"Very true Mr Can. Thank you for your input."
Sanem rolls her eyes. "What kind of nonsense is that? What do you do with that? Is it a 'if he comes back he's yours' kind of thing?" She clicks her tongue and turns to the girl next to her. "We paid him for nothing. This is stupid. Everyone knows that saying, it doesn't help anyone. 'If you love it set it free, if it comes back it is yours, if it doesn't, it never was'. What a cliché," she snorts.
Can purses his lips and hangs his head down, his arms over his raised knees.
"Are there any other questions?"
"Yes," the girl to Can's right speaks up as he glances at Sanem who has narrowed eyes on the speaker. "When I'm in love, I think too much. My partner's usually the complete opposite. I upset him when I do that. He says it's insulting when I watch him too much. What can I do?"
"Oh girl, I feel you," Sanem breathes out a sigh and nods. "I have the same problem...See, I also have a man I really care about," she glances at Can, pausing for just a second or two.
Can stretches forward, crossing his legs and squinting into the distance with a quiet sigh. Come on...!
"He always tells me not to do something, but then I'm forced to do it. And then lies start to form. And then he finds out and everything becomes really bad."
"I'd like to intervene again," Can sits up and nods at the speaker to say he was going to even if he said no, "Wouldn't you agree that lies shouldn't be a part of our lives at all?"
"Again, very true Mr Can. A lie is like a barrier. A neon red line. You don't cross it because the aftermath could mean destruction."
"I understand that, I do, but he is my twin spirit. Shouldn't he be willing to try and understand my side?"
"I agree!" the girl to the right pipes up. "What do you do when he refuses?"
"Problems get solved by being willing to listen and by talking about why it's a problem in the first place. It's a game of chess so to speak. You move, your partner moves and you meet in the middle at some point. What happens there, comes down to the moves you made to get there."
"That's what I'm trying to tell you, he doesn't talk and he doesn't listen. Some people, like this man, is too stubborn, and then the twin spirits don't meet in the middle because he doesn't want to talk about the issues."
"Again, I agree," the girls nods.
"If I try to say something he steps back," Sanem pushes her hands out like she's holding someone back, "he doesn't care, even if everything burns around him he stays at a distance and watches it happen."
