"Thank God, he's here," Sanem whispers when she sees Can's car parked outside the hedge. "Here you go. Drive safe and keep the change," she shoots quickly at the driver and gets out, hurrying up the steps and  looking around for Can.

The cabin was quiet. There was only the light from inside to tell her someone was there. She walks to the open doors, her heart pounding from fear of how she would find him.

Then she sees him, staring at the floor, and sitting on the couch with his thumb pressed into his chin.  Just as she moves closer, her eyes slide to the right where Polen was just sitting down and she stops.

Polen reaches out to touch his leg in comfort, whispering something to Can, who looks at her hand and nods, but doesn't tell her to remove it.

Why is Polen here? Sanem blinks and looks back at Can, willing him to look at her. Instead, Polen looks over her shoulder, sees Sanem and gives her a smile that no one but them see. Pursing her lips, Sanem looks away from Polen at Can again. He found comfort in her then?

"Sanem?" Can's eyes had lifted off the floor and he was now looking right at her.

"Can," Sanem says and looks at Polen again.

"What are you doing here?" Can asks, standing up.

"I came to talk to you." She is still standing outside on the grass, looking from Polen to Can coming outside, and back to Polen following him.

"You can come in Sanem, I was just leaving anyway," Polen says politely. "Can, see you later honey," she kisses his cheek. "Think about it, okay?"

Sanem fists her hands in her pockets and looks down at her sneakers.

"Okay," Can nods and looks down as well.

Polen walks over to Sanem and gives her the same sickly sweet and confident smile as before, with her back to Can. "Nice to see you."

Sanem stays rooted to her spot, staring at the cabin's inside as Polen passes by.

"I'm listening." Can's voice snaps her out of her glaring contest with the cabin to look at him. He walks closer and stops right in front of her, his eyes never leaving hers.

"I called you but you didn't pick up."

"I didn't pick up because I wasn't exactly able to speak."

"Of course not," Sanem nods and looks at the cabin again. "You were obviously busy," she scoffs.

"Busy?" Can challenges. "Busy?" His brows go up and then he snorts. "You're right, I was. I was busy being upset because I just learned that the one person I trusted and loved, more than anything, kept it secret that she gave her perfume to that Italian fucking bastard behind my back and lied to my face about it!"

Sanem rears back a little at his intensity, her mouth dry. "I didn't lie, I - "

"And you're going to stand in front of me and be jealous right now?!" Can continues.

"I'm not, I haven't said anything - "

"You don't have to! I know you! And even though I shouldn't, I'll tell you so you can relax okay? Polen came back to offer me a job. An agency in London is looking for a freelance photographer. They want someone who can travel, and be away from home for months at a time. Someone with no other commitments." He leans forward. "Does that explanation work for you?"

"Can't we just talk about this before you decide to - "

"You want to talk now?!" Can roars. "Talking is not going to solve this Sanem!"
