Night time has finally fallen over Agva. The outside of the hotel was peaceful and quiet. The inside was peaceful yet chatter filled the air in the dining hall.
Can enters it at seven thirty that evening, spotting the seminar speaker smiling at the people from his position at the bar leading in. "Good evening."
"Good evening. Welcome." The speaker grins and then looks past Can when the door leading in opens again.
Can turns to see who it was and time freezes for him. Sanem was in the most angelic looking white dress, short and flowing to her knees, with the same flow to the long sleeves and white heels that accentuated her calves. Minimal makeup decorated her features, it was almost pearl like, with star pearl earrings dangling from her ears.
He leans on the counter behind him, his head tilted a little. He feels the smile at the sight of her but doesn't reveal it. Despite everything, his heart still turned a few times when she came in. He wanted to be angry but he also wanted her close. It was very confusing. His eyes trail from her head down to her shoes again as she looks down and when her head lifts and she walks in towards them, his eyes are still on her. It was like he couldn't stop looking.
"Good evening," the speaker says with a smile.
"Good evening," she greets back.
"The hotel chef has prepared an excellent menu for the members of the seminar, hence the notes sent to your rooms requesting you dress semi formal."
Sanem glances at Can, her heart beating fast under his gaze. He looked extremely handsome. But then, when did he ever not? His hair was tied back, and sleeked down, his beard trimmed. He was in a grey colored suit jacket with a black T shirt and jeans, his ever present necklaces and rings there as well.
"Uhm, I don't know about you," Can pushes off the counter after looking away and coughing into his fist seeing her eyes on him, "but I feel like it's better for our inner reflection if we choose from the menu and have our food on our own. Hey, we don't even have to sit, we can stand at the bar if we want."
Sanem's eyes drop to the floor and a small frown appears for a second before she takes a deep breath and nods. She was hoping for more of a reaction. "I agree." If this is what needs to happen, then so be it. "I will eat at one of the open tables, it's not a problem."
The speaker shakes his head between them as they glance at each other agreeing on being by themselves. "Mr Can," Can hums, "Miss Sanem - "
"Yes?"
"I have been following you closely all day, since the start of this seminar."
They look at each other again, her swallowing and pulling her lips in and Can sighing silently.
"I'm not sure what the problem is exactly, but I know for a fact you can help each other find yourselves again. I get this - " He pauses and Sanem looks at him, Can standing back against the bar. "Charge coming off you."
"Sorry?"
"Yeah sorry?" Can looks at him with a questioning shrug, scratching the side of his neck.
"Lightning!" The speaker grins. "There are sparks so bright and intense it could light a whole country up in flames if it strikes."
Hm... Can licks his lips and frowns.
Sanem blinks blankly, unsure what to make of this.
"You make each other come alive, that's what I'm trying to say. You become a thing of beauty."
Can looks at Sanem at these words, his jaw tight but his mind thinking that she was a thing of beauty.
"If you work on the good things, your struggles will be overcome and your inner desires realized over time."
