Sanem is on the 'small bed' under a wool blanket thirty minutes later. Only half of her body fit on it, meaning her legs were left to dangle.
"Is it even a bed?" she asks, raising her feet in the air. "I mean, this is more of a chair." She shifts trying to find a comfortable position.
On the double bed, Can is sitting up against the backboard reading, trying to ignore her huffs, puffs and continuous moving.
"This is not a bed. I hardly fit. I'll have to sleep sitting up," she mumbles and turns again. "I can't even turn." She peeks over at Can. "Pfft, gentleman? Ha, he gave me a cot to sleep in while he gets the big bed."
Can rolls his eyes and looks up before he goes back to his reading.
"My feet are going to be so numb tomorrow...ugh," she groans and turns onto her back with a grunt.
"Sanem," Sanem turns her head and he's looking right at her, "there's nothing wrong with my ears, just so you know, I can hear what you're muttering over there. You're insulting me out loud to yourself and it's offensive and it's bothering me."
She scoffs and raises herself on her elbow. "I can tell you to your face if you want, I don't care."
"I'm trying to read but since you hate peace and quiet, I'll read to you out loud. 'She made me promise that I would never reveal her secret.'" He looks up again then narrows his eyes. "You won't get a moment's rest if I do that all night, just to be clear. And by the way, regarding your comment, if you can't fit on that how am I supposed to Sanem?"
She looks up at the ceiling, tapping her foot in the air and rolling her eyes.
"Now if we could sleep in this bed together, we would, otherwise the most logical place for you is there and for me, here." He looks down at then back up, nowhere near done. "Do you have anything resembling common sense?"
She scoots into a sitting position. "That's silly, we haven't even made up yet Can. Why would we be in one bed and so on..." she shrugs, blinking at him blankly.
"Sanem, I think you need to confess already." He sighs. "You made your reservation at the last minute, am I right? You got the last available room."
"Are you implying something here Can? I'm sorry, but what are you trying to say?"
His eyebrows go up and he shrugs.
"I told you the situation," she says heatedly then gets out under the blanket. "I told you the truth," she pulls on one slipper and then the other. "I came for the seminar and you...ooff, I can't believe you."
Can watches her yanking on her slippers and blowing her hair out of her face coming back up from bending over, in silence.
"These things are part of my life."
He closes his book and folds his hands over it.
"Go and see my participation history. Go, check if you want. Call me when you realize I'm not lying. I love seminars." She grabs her gown and gets up. "Lord, is it possible for one person to mistrust someone else so much? I'm leaving!" She starts for the door and then pauses when he just blinks and waits. "Did you say something?"
Can shakes his head. Not a word Sanem.
"Oh...Well, I'm going. I won't stay here with you. You'll see, in a minute I'll be out the door." She then sits on the end of the bed closest to her as Can taps the back of his book with his fingers. "I'm leaving."
"Then leave."
She gets up and then turns to him a step later, before sitting on the other end of the bed she made it to and nodding. "I'm not here. See?" She gets up again and takes another step before stopping and looking around. "I'm going..."
