Can pulls into his parking space next to the house, the rain no longer hitting them as he switches off the engine under the protection of the roof.
"Here we are," Sanem says nervously and looks at him as she unbuckles, mirroring his own action.
"Yes, we can finally be alone," he says with a nod, turning his body to her.
"What do you mean by alone?" She turns to him too.
"We've been through enough to get here, right?" She nods with a small smile. "We've suffered enough seperation. I'm glad that us playing 'friend friend' is over."
"True." Can smiles and leans forward, his lips getting closer and closer. Oh God... "We managed the 'friends' thing well I think?" She gulps, feeling even more nervous this close to him and blurting on. He pauses at this and she gulps again, looking at her fingers. "It wasn't easy but we fooled everyone, even ourselves."
"What are you saying?" he asks, sitting back in question, leaning an arm on the steering wheel.
"Just that - " She looks down and thinks about how to say what she wanted without it coming out wrong. "I want to keep it between us for a while, you know? Pretend we're still friends?" She looks at him carefully, knowing how much he hated lying.
"Right." He frowns.
"Just to the outside. We know we're more than that," she assures him and he looks out the window. "I mean, we're lovers, right?"
Can worries the inside of his lip then looks back to her with a curious gaze.
Sanem takes a deep breath, his eyes not looking angry but not as happy either. Her body felt heated with anxiousness as she glances at the house while he taps the wheel thoughfully.
"Can I ask you something?" he asks after a moment of silence and she looks at him quickly, then nods. "Look, I understand why you don't want your family to know about us - "
"Just for a little while."
"Yes a little while...and I respect it. I do." He nods firmly. "But you also don't want the people at the agency to know about it, and I understand that part as well." He frowns again and then shrugs. "I'm just worried thay if it goes on like this for too long, we won't even know whether we're a couple or not."
Sanem snorts despite his serious sounding comment.
"I mean, come on, if we pretend we're friends all the time how are we going to say we're lovers? Can we at least behave like a couple sometimes? Like now? When we're alone?"
She chuckles. "You're silly."
He grins after she says this and sighs. He got that she was scared, he wasn't an idiot. But he wouldn't force anything on her. He loved her too much. "I'm serious though. I want to stop pretending around you Sanem. I want to be able to treat you the way I'd like."
She keeps the smile on her face as she looks at him.
"I want you to feel my heart when I hold you, just like I want to feel yours." He leans his head back against the headrest, looking at her from the side. "I'm very in love with you Sanem, and I don't want to hide it," he admits quietly.
She closes her eyes at the words, taking them im and then smiles widely at him. "And I'm very in love with you." He returns her smile and lifts his head, reaching for her cheek. She glances outside before she leans closer. "Are we going to stay in this car all day or are we going inside?"
He chuckles at the change in gears and shakes his head. "On 3?" His hand goes to the doorhandle, his body turning to it.
"3." Her hand is on her doorhandle already as she nods.
