"It's not working mom! It just won't froth enough! I can't make foam coffee to save my life!" Leyla groans and lifts her hands in defeat, looking at Mevkhibe tapping her foot impatiently next to her.

Sanem pauses in the door with Can behind her and then pushes him in first.

"It will work! Have I ever given guests espresso instead of foam coffee? No! You aren't listening!"

"I am listening!"

"Mom?" Sanem interrupts their bickering with a smile and then points at Can.

"Good evening," he greets with a light bow of his head.

"Oh good heavens! Can! How are you son?" Mevkhibe smiles and leaves Leyla to come over and hug him.

"I am very well thank you." Can lets Mevkhibe go and moves over to Leyla also coming closer looking distraught. "Leyla, hello."

"Hello Mr Can."

"You look beautiful. As you always do but today you look extra beautiful."

"Thank you," she flushes and looks down at her dress.

Sanem smiles next to him and Mevkhibe beams at Leyla proudly.

"And how are you now, Mrs Mevkhibe?" Can turns to Mevkhibe. "Are you recovered? No high blood pressure? Any residual issues?"

Oh my God! Sanem looks at Leyla with wide eyes behind their mother who looks more than a little confused. "No, no. She's fine. She's fine," she answers quickly.

"Oh," Can nods at Sanem who smiles. "That's good."

"Well, I was a little nervous but - "

"But now she's fine!"

"Okay? Again, that's good to hear." Can looks from Sanem to Mevkhibe. "Uhm, so when is it starting?"

"We don't know," all three women answer at once.

"Hm," he narrows his eyes and nods. He stops after he looks behind Leyla and then points. "It looks like the coffee's trying to run away." Much like Mr Nihat...

Leyla spins. "Oh no!" she groans and runs over to grab the kettle boiling over. "Mom! Why didn't you teach me this years ago?!"

"Because you would rather buy coffee instead of making it!" Mevkhibe looks at Can in apology. "I'm so sorry Can."

"It's fine," he assures her.

"Mom I told you I can't do this! Sorry Mr Can," Leyla apologizes too after hissing at her mother and he waves it off again.

"Clearly we can see that you can't," Mevkhibe hisses back then smiles at Can. "Apologies."

"It's fine," he repeats.

Wow he's so handsome... Sanem's attention was not on her bickering mother and sister but on the man taking her family drama like it was the most normal thing in the world. And those stars on his jacket are just... What's that scent? Is he wearing the perfume I gave him? Oh my God...

Her staring is interrupted by him clearing his throat. "I don't want to impose or anything but," Can steps away from her right before she could stick her nose against him and she stands back, "I can show you a few easy ways. One of them in particular is a favourite of mine. With your permission of course?" He turns to Mevkhibe.

"Of course dear. Please, go ahead," Mevkhibe lets him pass her to go to where Leyla was looking like a lost lamb by the stove.

"Yes, Mr Can, please show me what I'm doing wrong," Leyla whines and steps to the side to make some room for him to work. Mevkhibe is right behind him, both interested and curious, as he starts to explain the four ways he knows how to make coffee.
