Sanem had been sitting in her bedroom feeling like crap, staring at her amber necklace when her phone lit up on her bedside table with Can's name flashing across the screen. She nearly falls over her own feet and runs out, throwing open her door just to burst into Leyla's room. "Leyla."

"Sanem?" Leyla stops wiping the makeup off.

"Can's calling."

"That's great, I told you it would be okay didn't I?" Leyla smiles when Sanem nods, her eyes saucers in her head. She drops the cotton swab and turns to Sanem. "Okay, breathe. Answer and keep calm."

"Okay," Sanem says nervously and swipes right. "Hello?"

"Hey. Is your mom okay?"

It sounded like he was driving. "Yes yes. She's okay now."

"So her blood pressure and sugar and whatever else that can be wrong is normal?"

"Yes." Sanem pinches her earlobe, wishing he would stop asking.

"That's good because we have to talk."

Sanem goes into panic mode. "Can - "

"Sanem, you owe me an explanation that makes sense after what happened at the cabin. Alright?" Sanem gulps and looks up at the ceiling. "I'm on my way, I'll be there in thirty minutes. Meet me at the pier."

She shuts her eyes and pulls her lips in. More lies... "Okay," she whispers after he already hung up. "What am I going to do?"

"What did he say?"

"He wants answers." Sanem turns to her sister. "He wants an explanation. I have to meet him at the pier in thirty minutes."

"Can't you make up something not to go?"

Sanem shakes her head. "He'll just come here if I don't go."

Leyla sighs. "Right."

"What am I going to say?"

"I don't know but we have half an hour to think of something."

Sanem swallows and bites her nail, shifting on the spot with a frown.

"Okay, first of all, sit down," Leyla says and points at her bed. "Let's go over what he could possibly say."

Sanem nods and sits. "He's going to ask why I said no...Why I refused..."

Aylin gave her best smile to the employees as she walked through the office.

They hid their work too fast for it to be coincidence and she knew for a fact then Deren told them to do so.

She spots Mehmet in the corner and goes over. "Hello."

"Uhm, hello."

"Are you working on the Redmod campaign?"

"No, Miss Miss Aylin. This is an outline for another company."

"Oh," Aylin nods. No wonder he didn't slam the screen shut. "Well, it looks good."

"Thank you," he says as she moves on.

"Hello," she stops at a desk across from Mehmet and smiles at the Dilara. "Are you working on the Redmod campaign?"

"No Miss Aylin."

"Hm," Aylin hums. She moves on, playing with her phone between her fingers. "What about you Yila? Is this for Redmod?"

"No, this is for one of our old clients."

"Hm, that was a good one to work with," Aylin nods, seeing the name on top of the pages she was working on. She moves on boredly and sighs, then spots Guliz standing by the copier. "Guliz, come here a minute?"
