Sanem peeks around the corner of the hallway to the closed living room door and then tiptoes to Leyla's room, grinning. "I don't hear them anymore. If it wasn't going well, mom would have broken down the door by now."
"That means they're finally talking in normal voices," Leyla beams and puts down her lipstick.
Sanem sighs and puffs out her cheeks. "Okay, I have to go."
"Okay," Leyla nods. "I'm going to call Osman, maybe he wants to do something."
Sanem swallows then chews on her lip a moment. "I'm really nervous about going to Can's house. What should I do?"
"First, calm down. Second, breathe." Sanem inhales, closing her eyes. "I'm sorry, I would have gone with you but it's only the creative team that'll be there."
Sanem shakes it off, opening her eyes. "It's fine. You won't have anything to do anyway." She gives Leyla a quick hug, still feeling shaken. "I'll see you later. Call me if anything happens."
"I will," Leyla promises and watches Sanem hurry out of the room before she sighs. Oh Sanem...I wish I had the answers for you... She turns to her vanity desk again and picks up her phone to call Osman, hoping he wasn't working through another night.

"She filled the house with so much happiness since the day she was born," Nihat gushes, by now sitting next to Mevkhibe on her side of the table.
"And she smelled so good," Mevkhibe coos with a longing smile. She missed the days when she could press her nose into her babies' hair while they slept without them waking up.
"And look here!" Nihat shows her a picture of them all sitting at a picnic table.
"Do you remember this day?" Mevkhibe gasps, her eyes wide with the sudden memory. "It started to rain so hard, and the girls were upset because we couldn't finish the picnic. You promised to take them as soon as the sun was out again. And you did!" she chuckles. "They were so happy!"
"Sanem wasn't happy that Ayhan wanted to play with her favorite toy."
"She was always so mad at her in the beginning. I don't know when it changed," Mevkhibe shakes her head as Nihat laughs lightly. "Oh, look at my beautiful blue eyed baby here."
"She was so pretty, even back then. Always so quiet and well mannered."
"What good days those were, Nihat," Mevkhibe sighs and then smiles at him in rememberance. He looks up at her with the same expression and she suddenly gives him a serious look. "Nihat, my love?"
"Yes my darling Mevkhibe?"
"I don't want to fight ever again, okay?" Mevkhibe puts her hand on his, her wedding ring on full display. "Not like we did this past week. My heart longs for you when you're not here. I won't survive another day."
He puts his free hand over her left and smiles, nodding. "Never again. I was a mess myself. I was a stubborn mess too." Mevkhibe sniffles and chuckles as she wipes under her eyes. "We also upset the girls very much, which is probably why they did this."
"Oh they'll still be hearing from me!" Mevkhibe says, fired up to get at them. "I almost died of fright! You should have seen me running out of the salon and up the stairs to get - "
"Calm down Mevkhibe," Nihat pats her down. "Calm down." She gulps and closes her mouth. "They did it to help us come together again. We can't really be mad, because it worked, didn't it?" Mevkhibe shrugs a little then nods. "We behaved like children, and they decided to put us in a corner. Like children." He shook his head at their ingenuity.
