Audrey's pov

" Yes eve, I know but it's just gonna be for a week, I promise, I'll be out your hair" I begged eve on the other side of the line.

I knew what I was doing was wrong but this was my only option to escape this hell hole, nobody is willing to come through for me, I can't gatecrash Jessica as she lives in a one bedroom apartment with amber and Isha lives in a work apartment that's she shares with her co-worker.

Heather made excuses about how it's wedding season and all, I don't even wanna involve Morgan in this, she's barely making ends meet as it is.

"Audrey, I would love to. You know I would, but I can't, Ian's mom lives with us for the next six months. You know, she's helping me with Marcus and I've got work soon. Please understand, and I'm so sorry, why nit just ask my brother to get you an apartment like he got Nicky her own apartment?"

"I will not ask Andre for his money, nor his help, but of course eve, I understand. Send my love to baby Marcus, ok? " I said, and we spoke for a while before hanging up.

With a long sigh, I fell face flat on my bed then screamed in frustration.

I hate my life, I hate Andre, I hate nicky.

Wait, I could call Adam or even better I'll just go give him a suprise visit to new york, I've got his work address, so instead of calling I'll go over to his workplace in New York, hopefully he hasn't traveled to any other state for work.

Yes, he hasn't texted me in over a month, but we're not necessarily over. He didn't break up with me, and I'm sure as heck not breaking up with him. Not again!

With a smile, I got up from my bed, then got my black suitcase and started packing.

I packed a total of four leggings, three sweatpants, two tank tops, one flannel t-shirt that belonged to Adam, two hoodies, and a white flowy dress. For shoes, i packed two pairs of sneakers and one pair of heels.

After packing, i sighed with content, then booked my flight ticket to New york.

I quietly tiptoed down the stairs with my large heavy suitcase in both my hands.

I woke up quite early today as I booked a morning flight, and I wanna catch breakfast at a diner or something before leaving.

"Need help with that?" I heard a familiar husky voice speak up from behind me.

Startled, I dropped my suitcase and one hand flew to my chest.

"You scared me, Andre!" I scolded as my heart calmed.

Andre chuckled, then picked up my suitcase with one hand.

"Care to explain where you are running off to at 6am?" He corked his eyebrow.

"I-uh, I, oh yeah, I'm going to see a friend, and uhm, I don't- I don't know when I'll be back but I, I might miss the baby's birth, so just send over the divorce papers when it's time" I let out a nervous laugh.

"I think you're lying. You're eloping with that Adam guy, aren't ya?" He studied my face.

I laughed to the point where I snorted.

"Like I said, Andre, I'm going to see a friend, infact I'm moving out, so don't bother trying to find out which friend because you won't find them."

"You're moving out?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm moving out. Andre, I'm not happy here, well ever since SHE moved in. I miss my peace before she came and I'm just tired of you two, so yes, I'm moving out and I won't be living anywhere near Los Angeles or California as a whole, I'm moving to another state, like I said, just send over the divorce papers when it's time okay?" I said, then walked out the house to my car.

Andre followed suit with my suitcase in his hand, I opened the trunk of ny car and he put the bag inside, I then got in the driver's side and turned on the ignition, waiting just a bit for it to be heated before driving away.

Goodbye lavish life, you've brought me nothing but pain, tears, and more pain.

"56th Ave. Pennsylvania, " I said to my cab driver, who nodded, then drove me to the address.

The cab finally came to a halt, and I paid the driver before going out.

Wow. Adam really has done well for himself. This is a beautiful company. It was large and made of glass, metal, and bricks painted in black.

I raised my head and read out loud the big bold words "LA'VONTE AND SPROUSE"

I dragged my suitcase with me as I made my way past security after signing whatever it is they made me sign.

I pushed open the large double glass door and went straight to reception.

This place smelt fresh, the aircon was on making it a but chilly but also bringing a wonderful natural smell of lavender and coconut.

"Goodday" I greeted the receptionist who looked shocked to see me.

I gave her a confused looked.

She was a beautiful Asian woman with the most black hair I've ever seen, thin pink lips and a cute button nose.

"What are you doing here? Haven't you done enough damage!?" She spat bitterly.

Dumbfounded, I gave her another confused look.

I looked down to her name tag and her name was Janet.

"Excuse me..Janet, you must be mistaking me for someone else" I said slowly and cautiously.

"You just wait!" She said then called security.

Ohk, now this discrimination. Does she treat other people who come to this place like this?

"Look, I don't know your and you don't know me, I'm sure we can settle this without involving security" I whispered but she looked at me up and down.

Security came and ghey basically manhandled me, I'll admit at first I resisted them touching me hence leading to them manhandling me but then I accepted fate and calmed down yet they still threw me harshly to the ground and my bag was thrown a good 6feet away from me.

Rolling my eyes, I get up then realize the many eyes on me.

Some were curious, some were mischievous as people held their phone recording my encounter with the security, unlucky for me most of the people who were taking videos of me were from inside the building and had followed me and security outside.

My shoulders slumped and I felt my eyes begin to burn.

Not now Audrey! Not now!

With the little dignity I have left, I picked up my bag then called a cab for me.

Adam moved from his old apartment to a new one when he got employed here, I never asked where he stayed but I searched up his company's address on the internet when he told me about it.

I told the cab driver the address to the apartment I lived at with Heather when I still lived in New York.

The Apartment is now occupied by Conan and Heather.

I went up the stairs with my suitcase in both my hands then dragged it to the second door.

I took a deep breath before knocking.
