DESTINED for you (the next step)

Part 20

I was sitting in Hidolgos reading a book after rehearsals then Stephanie walks up to me

"Hi." Stephanie said pulling out a chair and sitting infront of me

"Hey" I said closing the book and looking up at Stephanie

"I was hoping I could get the dance captain's help with something." She asked me

"Sure."

"I need you to talk to Phoebe about switching the duet partners." Stephanie asked me

"Wait. Why?" I asked her

"My partner is Beth." Stephanie answered then I slowly nodded

"I know she can be kind of... you know, but aren't you guys friends?" I asked her

"Yeah, but that's the problem. She's crazy and I'm just as crazy in the same way. So, if we work together, nothing is going to get done." Stephanie told me then I realised that Stephanie needed this

Stephanie: I worked really hard to get back into A-Troupe and I cannot afford to have any setbacks. Beth is a setback

"Yeah. OK. Steph, I'm not going to talk to Phoebe. I think this is a great challenge for you. You got this." I said then getting up from my chair

"What kind of dance captain advice is that?" Stephanie complained

"It's the only one I got." I joked

Stephanie: I can't believe she won't help me. She's the dance captain. I guess I'm going to have to face Beth now.

"Hey. How was your rehearsal?" I asked Stephanie seeing her in Studio A

"This good." Stephanie said then showing me her nails "Limited edition emerald green good." She said then I grabbed her hand looking at them

"Are you serious?" I said then putting her hand down

"I couldn't resist." She aplogised

"Steph..."

"It's pretty."

Destiny: I've underestimated the severity of the situation.

"OK. Well, next time you have a rehearsal, why don't you text me and I'll come right away? Make sure you guys stay on track." I suggested

"Thank you." Stephanie said then looking down at her nails

"You're welcome." I answered then I looked at her nails too

"Their actually really pretty" I said then walking away

"I know right" Stephanie yelled out while I was walking out

Stephanie: I don't know if Destiny can help fix this problem, but I'm really hoping she can.
