DESTINED for you (the next step)

Part 28

"OK, guys. We have a lyrical section, we have a hip-hop section, we kind of have our tumbling section, so what makes the most sense to me is if we get a rap song, we can extend our hip-hop section. If we get a ballad, we can extend our lyrical." I tell the team

"OK, OK. So what if we extend all the sections just to be safe then?" Riley suggested then I agreed

Riley: We won't know what the song is until the first team performs on stage, so we have to be extra prepared, just in case we are that first team.

"We have no time to work on three new dances." West stood up for me then the group started yelling at eachother

"No, no, guys. I agree with Riley. We're wasting time standing here talking about it." I tell them

"You know what? Let's just hope that Eldon does well in his competition so we don't have to go first." Max spoke up

West: We're really relying on him because we need as much time as possible with the music.

"I thought we could extend the dance with, after this section.. we go right into the... tumbling section." West told the group but Riley yelled out

"Thalia just texted me." Riley said

"What'd she say?" I asked her

"South Africa's out. We're not going first." She tells us and we have a mini celebration but then get right back into the chhoreo

Riley: We have at least one number to hear the music before we actually have to perform to it.

"So, if you want to roll out of that, that'd be good." I tell them

"Guys, guys... England's out." Riley tells us abit later and we are so happy

Riley: Hearing that England is out kind of makes me happy, just because it means that we at least have a better chance than them at winning this round.

"Only Poland, Jamaica and Eldon are left." Riley todl us

"Eldon's going to kill it, man." West said then we got straight back into the choreo

We were rehearsing for about 30 minutes and Michelle comes running in with our music

"Guys, I have your song." Michelle says them playing it

Destiny: I am so glad Michelle got us the song. Now, we just have to pull this dance together.

We were listening to the song and it was working pretty well

James: Yo, this song sounds pretty tight. I think we can make it work.

"Try the hip-hop, try the hip-hop. Try it." I say and we start marking it and it works perfectly

Destiny: It's actually working out really well. I mean, it kind of fits perfectly.

"Look, the other team was really messy. You guys have to make sure it's tight." Michelle scolds us

Riley: If we win this... we're in the semifinals. Our team is fully counting on us. There's no other option but to win.

"Will The Next Step please take the stage?" The announcer says as we walk on thestage

James: This is my first time on the international stage. It's so crazy.

Chuck- Well, it was Eldon that got them to this scenario. The Next Step now has to leave everything on the floor. They've had the most time to prepare out of all eight entrants.

Destiny: This routine is extremely intense. We have a lot of fast and intricate movement. Our team is counting on us. We have to get this right.

Kate: Our old choreography to the new song actually works really, really, really well.

Eldon: The Next Step is killing it.

Stephanie: They are just ripping it.

We finished our dance then went into the wings

Chuck- The Next Step danced an incredible routine.

Ashley- They sure did. Both teams were great. They've left it all on the stage and now it's up to the judges.

Chuck- Let's listen in as the judges render their decision.

We went back onto thestage waiting for the winner to be announced

"The winner moving on to the next round is... The Next Step!" They announced and I was so happy and so was the team becuase they ran onto the stage to celebrate with us

Destiny: Im so happy we won. Now we have semis and then finals

James: I'm so pumped that we won.

Noah: This means we're going to semifinals.

Michelle: I am so excited right now.

Kate: I'm so proud of these guys. They worked really hard to pull this off and they did it. I can't believe we made it this far.
