THE COFFE WAS no longer good, and Ayesha was right not to get too used to the delicious coffee she'd had the other day. She couldn't help but wince every time she drank. She couldn't let this penetrate her body anymore.

"Do you wanna finish my coffee?" She asks Tommy, whom she came to grab breakfast with.

The man looked at her judgingly out of the corner of his eye. Tommy wasn't even trying to hide his look of disgust. Especially as Ayesha was asking a rather stupid question since Tommy had stopped having coffee at Seth's and was having orange juice instead.

"Hell nah. You knew what you were getting into by ordering his coffee." Tommy says.

Ayesha raises her eyes to the sky with a sigh before finally deciding to drink all the coffee in one gulp in order to end this torture quickly.

"A nurse will come by tonight to check on your wound." He says to the young woman.

"Mkay... I am doing great though you know... I am not breathless when I walk anymore." Ayesha tries to reassure the old man.

"Maybe, but we still gotta be careful. What if the wound opens again?"

A question to which Ayesha had no answers. She simply shrugged her shoulders before going back to eating her pastry.

Suddenly hearing footsteps coming from behind her, she turned and saw Joel and Ellie enter the bar. Joel smiled at his brother, while Ellie looked over the moon, paying no attention to the world around her. Ayesha smiles, finding this amusing.

Tommy greets his brother, finally causing Ellie to look up, she immediately meets Ayesha's smiling gaze. And the young woman doesn't hesitate, smiling directly back.

"I didn't know you were grabbing breakfast here, that's new." Joel says with a chuckle.

"Yeah, no. Only doing that to make Ayesha go out a little." He says pointing to the girl.

She meets Joel's gaze before greeting him with a smile, to which Joel replies with a chuckle.

"These kids... Always in and never out."

"Hey! that's not true." Ellie defends herself and her community.

"I double that." Ayesha mumbles before taking a sip of Tommy's orange juice.

Tommy frowns before taking his glass out of the young woman's hands with an offended look.

"Don't touch that." He says firmly.

"Chill, it was just to pass on the taste of that horrible coffee. And I let you take a bite of my pastry. You can let me sip on your juice." Ayesha rolls her eyes.

"I prefer these kids in." Tommy concludes, turning back to Joel.

Ayesha scoffs, feeling offended. Her and Tommy always had a pretty tumultuous relationship. They liked to tease each other like a niece and uncle would. Tommy made this place less laborious for Ayesha.

"Whatever, don't forget to grab some snacks before going on patrol, I'll wait for you at the stables," Joel handshakes his brother before turning to Ayesha, "and take care kiddo."
