ELLIE HAD DECIDED to meet Ayesha upstairs after she saw her climbing the stairs a few minutes ago. Although Ellie was indeed gripped by anxiety just thinking about talking to Ayesha, she still wanted answers to her many questions.

Her hand slips over the staircase railings before she reaches the first floor, she moves along the long corridor before hearing a door open to the side, someone steps out and jumps when she sees Ellie.

"Oh my God," Ayesha slides her hand on her chest, feeling her heart racing, "you scared me." Her eyes meet Ellie's.

"I am sorry." She mumbles before fidgeting with her fingers.

Ellie already didn't know what to say, it was as if Ayesha had taken the words out of her mouth. The brunette stutters as Ayesha waits for Ellie to say something as she noticed she came here for a reason.

"Can we... Talk?" Ellie asks.

Honestly, Ayesha really didn't feel like talking. She wished she could get away and run, but there was no way out, she was trapped. And yet, every time she saw Ellie, the images came back. Her hands on her hips, her lips on hers. All the sensations return.

"I am sorry I kissed you." Ayesha is the first one to talk which relieved Ellie.

"No, it's not your fault, I kissed you."

"But I kissed you back, and I should've never done that because that kiss meant absolutely nothing."

Ayesha's words made Ellie's heart miss a few beats as her sentimental world crumbled around her. It didn't mean a thing. She knew it, she knew that this kiss had no meaning, and yet she feels a slight twinge in her heart. She's surprised when there's no need to be, Ellie should have known better.

"Did it mean something to you?" Ayesha asks, genuinely concerned as she realizes Ellie isn't answering anything, she's just blank staring, lost in her thought.

"No." She comes back to her senses, "It absolutely didn't mean a thing to me. I was a little tired to be honest, it was late and I didn't know what I was doing."

"Yeah, same." Ayesha chuckles.

Ellie forced a smile. But Ayesha sensed there was still some unease; she didn't know if she was supposed to say that to Ellie, but she also knew she could tell Ellie anything without being judged.

"Look, I am feeling very sexually confused right now. And I don't want you to be some experience. This would be selfish." Ayesha explains.

I could be your experience, I could be anything for you just as long as I can feel your lips against mine one last time, like a last goodbye kiss, Ellie thought.

"Yeah, I understand." She decides not to let her inner thoughts win.

"Okay, cool. Friends?" Ayesha gently smiles, and Ellie couldn't explain how or why, but it's as if her smile lighted up the room.

"Yeah, friends." The words feel bitter as they roll out Ellie's tongue.

Ayesha smiled a second time at Ellie before turning back and pointing to the staircase Ellie had just taken.
