IT'S BEEN A week since Ellie and Ayesha had kissed. And they haven't spoken to each other for a week now, because Ayesha avoids Ellie at all costs. The young woman didn't know where to turn or how to have a conversation with Ayesha.

Ellie didn't know where to stand, didn't know how to feel or what that kiss meant. Did it even mean anything to Ayesha? Obviously, Ellie knew that she was the one who kissed her first, but if she'd known Ayesha was going to ignore her, she probably never would have kissed her.

But if Ayesha kissed Ellie back, why is she now avoiding her?

"Has Dina said anything to you?" Jesse asks, looking around and petting his horse.

"About what?" Ellie asks, frowning as she turns to the Asian man.

Jesse shrugged his shoulders innocently, his relationship with Dina no longer hanging on by a thread. He didn't want to show it to the others, but at the same time, he needed someone to reach out and reassure him. He too didn't know where to stand.

"Well, she talks a lot about you I guess." Ellie shrugs.

"What you mean?" Jesse's eyes widen in excitement.

"She complains about you."

"Oh." Jesse's smile drops.

Ellie didn't quite understand what was going on; indeed, she knew there were a few quarrels going on in their relationship at the moment, but not to the point where they were on the verge of separation.

"Yeah, we keep arguing. I asked Ayesha for advice and she told me Dina and I should get some time apart." Jesse says, sounding bothered.

Ellie tries not to let on when Jesse says Ayesha's name.

"I think that's a great advice." Ellie shrugs.

"I don't."

Of course Jesse didn't like the idea. He didn't like being away from Dina. But maybe it was the only solution for the moment, Ellie wished she could give him better advice but she couldn't do it in the middle of a patrol while scanning the surroundings.

"I don't even know why I asked her to advise me. She doesn't even have a boyfriend." Jesse sighs.

Boyfriend. Obviously Ellie, Ayesha likes men, not women.

"Did she tell you anything?" Ellie asks curiously.

"Who? Dina?" Jesse frowns confused.

"No dummy. Ayesha." Ellie chuckles.

Everyone knows that Jesse and Ayesha are good friends despite the fact that Ayesha and Dina hated each other. So maybe Ayesha talked to Jesse about what happened the other night.

"About what?" Jesse asks, curiously.

"Me?" Ellie asks, shrugging. Jesse is confused, he doesn't understand why Ayesha would say anything about Ellie since he thought they weren't close, guess he was wrong, "I mean, uh..."
