ᖭི༏ᖫྀELLIE HADN'T SPOKEN to Ayesha in four days. And she couldn't go on like this, so here she was, on the young woman's porch, getting ready to knock on her door to apologize.
She didn't know what she was going to say yet, but she knew she was going to do everything she could to make amends. She didn't like being on the outs with people. She knocks on the door and starts fidgeting with her fingers.
And Ayesha comes to open the door rather quickly, Ellie trying to hide her surprise when she sees the dark-haired woman in an outfit she'd never seen her in before.
Ayesha wore a loose-fitting short white top with equally short red-checkered shorts. Part of her hair was tied back in a clip, while her other curly locks fell to her shoulders. Ellie tries to stay focused, looking up at Ayesha, trying to get two words in without stuttering.
"Hey, can I talk to you?" She says.
Ayesha frowned, still answering nothing, before glancing behind Ellie's shoulder, who was, incidentally, a tad taller than her. She realizes it's pitch-dark and wonders why anyone would want to talk in the middle of the night.
"Yeah..." Ayesha whispers, looking back at Ellie.
The dark-haired woman leans against the doorframe, crossing her arms against her chest, stopping Ellie from looking at her hard nipples protruding through her top.
"I am sorry for what I said the other day... It just came out like that, I didn't mean it." She explains.
Ayesha smiled tenderly, but still tried to hide her smile by biting her cheek bloodily. But it was too late, Ellie had already caught a glimpse of her slight smile, giving her a glimmer of hope that Ayesha would forgive her.
"It's okay... Maybe it was also my fault a little. I shouldn't have reacted like that." She explains.
"No, you had every right." Ellie reassures her.
The wooden floor creaked beneath Ayesha's feet, and she couldn't help hating herself for forgiving Ellie so quickly, but she couldn't resist it. Life's too short to bicker with people.
"I just didn't feel comfortable sharing my story..." Ayesha looks down, trying not to fidget with her fingers like Ellie is still doing.
"I completely understand... To be honest, if you never found out about my immunity I probably would've never told you about it because I didn't feel comfortable enough talking about it." She tries to make Ayesha realize she gets how she feels.
A smile appears on her lips, a smile that means many things.
"About that..." The curly-haired woman starts.
"Mhm?" Ellie widens her eyes, her attention back on Ayesha.
"Remember when you told me this secret?"
A muffled laugh escapes Ellie's lips, a muffled laugh that Ayesha found oddly appealing. Her lips curled into a smile and Ayesha realized the brunette has heart-shaped lips.
"Well, you made me admit it... I told you against my will." She corrects Ayesha, to which she laughs.
"Yeah, whatever..." She rolls her eyes in amusement, which made Ellie blush a little, "I wanna share something with you too. But you better keep it to yourself."
