AYESHA WAS HELPING Ellie getting ready for the winter dance. The young woman moves her hands up Ellie's shirt before readjusting the collar and finally looking at the young woman with a smile on her lips.

"You look perfect." Ayesha whispered.

Ellie simply replied, stifling a laugh as she analyzed Ayesha's features. It was hard for her to realize that such an unrealistic woman could exist, she wondered how she could even have been interested in her. But Ellie didn't know that this was what Ayesha was wondering too, they both thought they didn't deserve each other.

"Are you sure you're not coming?" Ellie asks.

"I am tired, I'll stay here." Ayesha answered with a grin.

Ellie replied with a sad smile as she rolled up her sleeves, revealing her tattoo, which Ayesha couldn't take her eyes off. It was so intriguing, even though Ayesha knew all its secrets.

"Remember when you used to piss me off about my diary?" Ellie asks with a chuckle.

Ayesha leaned against the table behind her with a smile, remembering all the times she'd begged Ellie to show her at least one page of her diary.

"Yes?" She giggled.

"Well..." Ellie starts, looking innocent.

She plunges her hands into her jeans pocket and pulls out a piece of paper folded in four. She approaches Ayesha and holds it out to her. The young woman looks closely at the piece of paper, eyebrows raised in surprise.

"All I can say is I do write about you," Ayesha finally takes the paper before unfolding it, her heart skips a beat as Ellie continues talking, "and I'll never let you read what I say about you, but, drawings aren't words, right?"

Indeed, drawings aren't words. Yet they say a lot more than words.

And Ayesha is speechless. Because it's the way Ellie just made her look even more beautiful, she embellished her. And it said a lot about how Ellie sees Ayesha.

There was a drawing of Ayesha's face, another of her profile, and another 3/4 of her smiling. Sketches of her facial details were scribbled all over the sheet.

"Ellie, how can you be so talented? This is beautiful." Ayesha says looking up at Ellie who's already looking at her with a little smile as she slowly feels flustered.

"That's only because you're the one I drew," Ellie starts, "you can keep it."

Ayesha looks down at the paper before running her finger along the torn edge.

"Thank you..." She breathed heavily, looking deep into Ellie's eyes.

Ellie smiled, but just as she was about to leave, Ayesha stopped her, wrapping her hand around Ellie's wrist. The brunette turned around with raised eyebrows.

"Wait," Ayesha says before stepping closer, "about what you said yesterday on patrol..."

Ellie is confused, not knowing what Ayesha was talking about, because indeed, Ellie had said a lot yesterday during the patrol.
