A YEAR AND a half has passed ever since Ayesha saw Ellie, Dina and Tommy again. After they left for Jackson, Ayesha dissolved the WLF after she realized it was the only way to properly keep the people safe. They evacuated the stadium on the same night of the Seraphites operation.

Ayesha tried to save as many people as she could, sending them to places Ayesha knew they would be safe in. Ayesha packed her stuff and left on that night, she only grabbed the essentials, clothes, weapons, some food and the pendant with Ellie's drawing of her in it.

Just so Ellie could be with her everywhere she goes.

Ayesha walked for weeks before arriving in San Francisco, near her hometown Los Angeles. She had missed the palm trees and the heat of California.

All she needed for this to be perfect was her car.

And she wondered if Ellie was taking care of it in Jackson, or wherever she was now.

Ayesha still loved Ellie. She never stopped loving her, though she knew they would never happen again because of the events in Jackson and because Ellie was now with Dina.

And Ayesha was happy for them.

She has seen Abby again, still with the little boy. They quickly came across a few weeks ago when Abby was trying to reach the mexican borders. Ayesha housed them both for a night in the little home she secured to avoid attacks from infected.

And the next morning, they left on their boat again.

Though Ayesha and Abby weren't on good terms anymore as they both betrayed each other, they had been through a lot together. And still felt like helping each other if needed.

After Ayesha realized she didn't have enough food anymore, she decided to go hunting for whatever she could find in town.

She grabbed her gun and some other stuff before leaving her house.

...

ELLIE HAS BEEN wandering around for a good moment now, trying to find shelter for the night. The sun was about to set.

It's been three weeks since Ellie left Dina and JJ to pursue her thirst for revenge. This whole thing was keeping her at night, she had to finish it if she wanted peace.

At least, that's what she thought.

Ellie ran her hands through her hair, she wished she had something to tie them up, the heat wasn't helping. But Ellie didn't have a hair tie on her.

She kept walking, though it felt like she was just going round and round, passing by places she swore she already passed.

The brunette grabbed a map of San Francisco she found in an old tourism office before checking if she was walking in the right direction.

And this is when she heard gun shots coming from further away, Ellie's eyes widened before she hid behind a car that was parked near an old fast food. She heard footsteps and voices.
